We need to stop crying over spilt milk. Look back at where we went wrong and make changes. Change our educational methods, and emphasize more on the need to reason than dependence on religion and faith. Then we can move forward. Else we are in for another big blow. This world is like a jungle. It's just like a deer asking it's mum. Why do lion eat us. No time for that. It's time to develop survival skills. Or be wasted. The world has never been fair and never will. The one that conquers you changes your story. They tell you to be like a lamb. Well you know the end of a lamb is to be slaughtered. So know where u belong. I choose to be a wolf Not a prey. In this urban jungle! #nochurchinthewild |

revolt:You are lost indeed. Merely regurgitating what you have been told about yourself, that you lack history. This is real history up here on the front page being brought to you, parts of history that has been intentionally hidden from you as part of the mental subjugation ploy for you. You have grown up to believe you have no history, you are inferior such that you inherently believe that you are incapable of achieving anything. History isn't always what you have been lied to. Look for your history not in european texts, they have made sure of blotting out your true history from you. Were you ever told that the earliest university in the world is the university of timbuktu in mali? In Africa? At that time, the University was advancing in learning and handing out a 3-tier level of educational certification, Europe had virtually none! Ever heard of the black Moors? Ever heard of the Rosetta stone? Ever heard about the Olmec Civilization of Mexico (the oldest civilization of Mexico where the original settlers in Mexico carved statues for themselves entirely Negroid in features and left writings deciphered to be a Malian language) thus confirming an earlier presence of Africans and ebunking the so-called history that Columbus 'discovered' America when Africans had discovered America way much earlier? You think you would want to be told this? Because you were deliberately not told! My post up there is only a tip of the iceberg, a foundation laid down for you to go out there and study your history. There is much more to be told than written in that post - some intellectually lazy ones are already complaining that they can't read all of it. You think you have no history, or that your history starts with slavery or after you were colonized in Africa. That's wrong. Your history predates the Roman and Greek civilizations! Please take out some time and do some research yourself. You will be amazed at the wealth of information about your history which you do not know. Free yourself from mental subjugation. Self-enlightenment only comes with knowledge, and with knowledge comes power of the mind. |

frankmoney:Africa was more developed than Europe The problem is we accepted their culture and religion as superior Japan and China was colonized by Europe too. But they never dropped their culture, language n religion. We can see the difference in development. It's not too late to change. We can be the generation of change. |

ebiagtales:There I do not agree with you. The descendants of Canaan are the Canaanites whom the Israelites chased out of their land and made some of them slaves. E.g the Gibeonite. To prove that they were not Africans, the Israelites were slaves in Africa (i.e. Egypt) before they even returned to the land of Canaan to exterminate it's occupants and enslave them. |

while the white man was conquering space and the poles, africans were busy doing traditional dance, promoting silly masquerades and the white man was clapping for us telling us we had a rich cultural heritage. culture is still the bane of africa. it shows us the difference between us and does nothing about uniting us for progress. stupid culture! |
| Re: Where Was Africa When The World Was Developing ? by Nobody: 6:46am On Mar 20, 2015 |
Basic reason why we are not developed is because we are a resource depenedent society. We prefer to sell our resources and use the cash to buy things from the West. I think we have to learn from Japan and China...and realise that self sufficiency is the way forward. |

bigfrancis21:You may be correct and the Europeans may be wrong, but there's something in Nigerian palance we describe as "I been get no be property", meaning that what u used to have becomes nothing if you no longer have it. The Europeans had no history and Africans had all the history, but what is happening now? The Asians may have faced the same same plight but they re doing better than the Africans now. They have rewritten their history. I wager that most of the history u presented in the first page, were not taught to you in some African schools, rather they were works of European sympathizers or Africans who happen to live and study in Europe or America. Why don't Africa rewrite their history from what it is to what they claim it should be? Why don't they teach it in their schools? By the way u re you re not the only one, who knows about the Moors and Timbuktu university. The Malian government is doing little or nothing about the manuscripts that are decaying there. It is the Europeans that are doing something to preserve the scripts. |

frankmoney:All the history books and science invention history books you read were written by the Europeans.. That was why u didn't see African, American and Asian inventions in their history books.. You can imagine Japan with all their early knowledge of metalworks and fireworks, and China with all their early knowledge of tea and herbal medicine and acupuncture, yet, they have no place in the science and medicine history books., rather you see texts like, "tea was imported by the Orients (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, e.t.c); and mathematics was developed in the East (Greece, Arabia, e.t.c)... The Japanese and Greek history we read today are those written by their own old historians (Japanese and Greek Historians respectively).. In the Bible, the Queen of Sheba that visited Solomon came from Africa. But the thing is that, the kings and wise men of Africa in those days never thought like the Europeans, who were like: "let all generations read about these and know that a great good king (or a mighty king who conquered the whole world, or that some certain invention that changed the world) once came out of our noble land. The people in the Bible called all black-skinned people Ethiopians. The Europeans called Africans Moors those days (and some other names for black-skinned people), and called the Northerners Barbarians. |

easystudy101:Correction....the Chinese took up communism....which is essentially Western in origin; all Mao did was to change the focus from industrial workers in the West to peasant farmers in the East. Also....Japan in addition was scared of being colonized in the 19th century.(They should be thnakful that the major powers that disturbed them were the Dutch and the Americans....who were more interested in trade. Still....when you see a mighty warship...and you know you have nothing that can comepte....you work hard to compete...or get conquered). The reason why Africa is not developed has to do with the idea that selling raw materials and sharing the money...which is then used to import all manner of stuff is the way forward. |

Oh you black man who knows not his history! Don't get me wrong but Egypt was later conquered by first the Persians, the Greeks and later the Romans and fell under foreigh occupation and invasion, thousands of years after the pyramids had been built. From that time onwards, Egypt witnessed an influx of foreign settlers in the land who settled and interbred with the locals, thus paving way for the gradual lightening of the racial make-up of the Egyptians generation after generation. A similar example is taken from America today. America is at the height of world power and has attracted several ethnicities and races to its country such that its culture is multicultural and no longer entirely European as it was in the 1800s. This was the same case for Egypt, which can be likened to 'America' of its own time, attracting foreign nationals from around the world who finally settled in Egypt and interbred with the natives. St. Maurice of Christian history was a black Egyptian born in 250AD in Egypt which confirms that as at that period in time, the original black egyptians were still in existence in Egypt! https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/ea/Mathis_Gothart_Gr%C3%BCnewald_011.jpg Picture depicting St. Maurice giving orders to his subjects. A statue of St. Maurice And here is a fake depiction of St. Maurice all in the same attempt to blot out your history and classify every known performing person in your history as 'white': https://reflexionchretienne.e-monsite.com/medias/images/saint-maurice-1.jpg The pope in Rome prays in front of a statue and image of black Mother Mary and Jesus and not the so-called wite images you have been made to believe are the actual depictions of Jesus and Mary. The Christian bible describes Jesus as having a skin the colour of burnt copper (copper is brown and when copper is burnt it turns further brown) and hair as wool! (afro hair which black people have is the only wool-like hair of all races!) You think the pope doesn't know the truth? https://i.ytimg.com/vi/fGb_y_rEcrU/maxresdefault.jpg https://www.unbiasedtalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/black-madonna-300x255.jpg https://www.ncregister.com/images/uploads/jpII_Ukrainep.jpg https://www.unbiasedtalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Pope-in-church-with-black-woman-behind.jpg Does the image below look like to you as the description of Jesus in the bible as one with copper-coloured skin and 'wooly' (afro) hair? https://s7.postimg.org/v9czalonf/image.jpg https://www.chicagonow.com/religious-journey-through-chicago/files/2014/12/image.png The so-called pictures of Jesus Christ were actually modelled upon an Italian man named Cesare Borgia: http://www.omgfacts.com/lists/7974/The-classic-depiction-of-Jesus-may-actually-be-a-portrait-of-Cesare-Borgia-the-illegitimate-son-of-Pope-Alexander-VI-abp0 Wake up from your slumber! Most importantly, think for yourself! Are you aware of DNA evidence that confims a Sub-saharan (black) origin of Egyptians? Aristotle wrote in his book in about 300BC that he visited Egypt and the Egyptians were melanchroes (blacks) with wooly hair! Herodotus also confirmed that he met an Egyptian boy who was not merely black but had 'thick lips". Ancient Egyptians believed themselves to have originated from “The Land of Punt”. Majority of scholars today believe that land to be somewhere in the coastal regions of what is today Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia and Sudan! Black Egyptians are still found in Egypt today, as you move down further south, you will find them there! https://files.abovetopsecret.com/files/img/qr4ec17044.jpg https://www.farhorizons.com/trips/EgyptAfrica/OasesofEgypt/images/childrenatSiwa.jpg https://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l128/KING9_2006/Northeast%20Africans/PA113263.jpg https://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l128/KING9_2006/Northeast%20Africans/abu_si3.jpg Do some research for yourself!

axum:Trust me I've heard my share here too, they think Arabs enslaved Fulani people (which never happened). I don't know where the inferiority complex comes from because I was raised to have a superiority complex and look down on others. Maybe it's a regional and cultural thing. They have been told to kiss Euro and white arse and bleach their skin and show self-disdain whilst I was raised to be proud of my several millennia old culture. When I tell them to stop being slaves, they call me an "Arab Puppet". I think they really enjoy being 3rd rate trash. |

Fulaman198:It is pitiable bro. It is as a result of lack of proper african history in the curriculum and educational system of most African countries. History is one of the most powerful tools that can be bequeathed unto a generation. Just as when the call for African history is even higher, I'm learning that Nigeria is scrapping history lessons from its curriculim! (A ploy to prevent teaching the civil war to younger generations maybe?) What?!! Which country ever scraps its history from its curriculum?! |

Fulaman198:The trend can be corrected by the inclusion of proper african history into the educational system of african countries. Africa NEEDS to rewrite its own history and present it to the world. Generations to come, equipped with such education and information, will grow up to be stronger and prouder africans! Thus, the African Renaissance will be born, and Africa will take its rightful place in the annals of time again! |
