But exorbitant fee is not the exclusive preserve of Pentecostal churches. Mission schools handed back by government to the churches that established them some years back as part of strategies to improve education in the country have now been caught in the web. The schools owned by Methodist, Catholic, Anglican, CMS and other churches that were reputed social service providers have now been hijacked by greedy capitalists. Their fees are no longer affordable, just like private universities. |

Speaking to Saturday Vanguard, the Benue State chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Arch Bishop Yiman Orkwar sees nothing wrong in churches establishing schools and running them in a professional manner, without sentiments. While he is not against churches granting scholarships to children of the poor, he insists that there is no way all members of the church could be exempted from paying fees as a matter of policy as this could harm the institution’s ability to run the institutions properly and meet the demands of staff.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/10/rich-churches-poor-members/ |

I think we're in the same shoes even though I didn't create the thread for bashing of pastors but, for things to be done rightly just the way it was when the missionaries came into our land and gave hope to the hopeless and educate our people in the best of there knowledge which is the opposite of what we have today. donsalvy: |

Well, blame the gullible and sometimes the brainwashed members that gave the 'OPPORTUNISTS' ground to thrive donsalvy: |

Lol Dunno...its just soo weird and crazy. And some of the brainwashed church members will come here and spit jargon about how "the lord will bless them(pastors) according to his riches in glory" but the lord isn't blessing them(the brainwashed members) All the youth care about as it is, is a church that would allow them wear bum shorts and leave their hair uncovered,a church where they can dance shoki, a church where the ushers try to hook up male and female members. Its unfortunate |

Churches this days tire me o, I heard Christ Embassy charges gate fee N1,000 for their service on 31st December? Pastors go knack $5000 suit for body, wear better shoe, prayer warrior belt go go round him waist ten times, him shoe don bend one side, members dey suffer suffer. Am not saying that these pastors should share money to every members, but for the ones in need they could start training for them, like handy work, bakery, sewing clothes, welding , carpentry, give scholarships to people who are in school and help train people who are more interested in handy work. And yes, they have the resources to do that , their are also affluent members of the church who are willing to contribute for the cause. But for pastors, no no no they want all those money in their pocket so they could make Forbes list .. Very sad. This No be wetin Jesus talk for bible ooo just like Jesus collected the few fishes and blessed it, fed thousands that's what I am talking about. Anyways , I am just observing these churches from on top of a speeding Molué ![]() |

It's Evolution B4 Church takes care of Members Now Members take care of Church/Pastor, In the old Jesus walked around spreading the world of God, now Pastors ask members to buy Private jets for them b4 they can spread the gospel Pastor Wants $65 Million From Church Supporters To Buy Private Jet So He Can Spread The Word SOURCE: http://www.e reporter.com.ng/index.php/more-news/odd-news-reports/item/3929-pastor-wants-65-million-from-church-supporters-to-buy-private-jet-so-he-can-spread-the-word |
