Rivers state is not a battleground state, it will go to PDP, along with imo state and pretty much all the states in green. Despite buhari massive support in the north and west, it will not be as solidly red as projected here, there will be patches of blue which is just what PDP needs to pull it off, this was the electoral map in 2011 and frankly I see little change.

A lot has changed since 2011

For a start.....Tinubu was on GEJ's side in 2011...now he isn't.

Second....PDP had a lot of people on its side in 2011...that are now on APC's side.

Third....a lot of disappointment.

@sconty09. My dear sconty09. Please don't generalised on behalf of the Yorubas'. How are u sure that all yorubas' endores or will vote 4 buhari, you can only speak for yourself and not for others as there are millions of yoruba's that will go for GEJ.

He called Enugu a battleground state.
Thats enough to stop looking at the map!!

Anyway, for someone who took his wife, and family members to his polling booth and yet scored only one vote(that means they voted against him), I can understand his bitterness towards GEJ!!

I'm sorry my brother to think Yorubas would vote Jonathan when they can get No 2 highest position in the Nation, Joke. While NIger Deltan are crying to have their man at the presidency, why won't the Yorubas aspire also to have their man at No 2. To compare 2011 when Pastor Balare was on CPC ticket that has no national spread,Bakare and ThenACN not on good term. But the story is different now. We the Yorubas are ready to fully support Osinbanjo ,call it tribalism. We say Yes, Thank You. We also want 21st Century southwest like Dubai.

massive infrastructural development in dubai was developed with their OWN oil money, where is yours coming from?
Apart from Lagos the other states in SW are fully reliant on ND oil money

We 're educated and resourceful. How do we fund our development in the 60s. Why 're there gap between us and other regions of the country. We can live without oil. We have the largest port in west Africa,we would go mechanized farming. We have oil in ogun state and bitumen in ondo. Our greatest resources is education.

We can now see how gullible and desperate , these APC rats are, for goodness sake, how can a Sane man paint Enugu green, how can someone say Enugu is a battle ground, one major reason why some comments here should be ignored ,cos they don't worth it .

I wonder why anyone should take Dele Momodu serious, this is a man who claimed he will win a presidential election
but could not even get up to five votes, even his wife did not vote for him.

Of course. GEJ will hit 80 percent in some SW States too.
You gave GMB 9.2m over there.
Things doesn't work that way in politics.

Some states in the North will disappoint you.
No state in the SE will go to GMB. None.
Not more than one state in sS will go to GMB.

With Jigawa and Adamawa not sure for GMB, the battle is open

GEJ will never get 80% in any South West state. Maybe South East but never South West. This will be a landslide for GMB.

Yeah....and dear old Tinubu was seen in GEJ's house about a few days to the election......

And poor old Ribadu complained about backstabbing.....

Yep...things have changed. At best .......51-49% PDP...THOUGH it could tilt either way.

And when you disagree with people...you could do so politely, sir.

pre independence lagos, ibadan, calabar, enugu were at par. the whole of the SW was not more developed than the whole of the SE. The adoption of lagos as federal capital catapulted its development. Yes yorubas are very educated and resourceful but if resources are scarce and entrepreneurship is needed to drive an economy you have to agree the igbos are better. They only have had the courage to try doing it alone though twas through the wrong means.
At it stands at the moment the only region that can be self sufficient is the ND.

Sit down watching your share of Nigeria treasury looted and your future stolen. I'm a Medical Doctor, working in Abu Dhabi. I'm enjoying my life with family. Just home to vote and contribute my quota to fatherland. Corruption is mother of all evils not ethnicity. Solve corruption, more money available to make life easier for you and your unborn generations.
Nothing is wrong to like where I come from but lots is wrong when corruption becomes order of the day like we see in Jonathan regime.

All commentators and respondents are Igbos (and a few Yorubas) so we cant really get a picture of what is happening fully.

The Northerners (the majority by a long shot) do not comment on Nairaland. The Igbo ones are only interested in listening to their own voice and views.

The Yorubas are there to antagonise and rob-it into the Igbos.

Buhari should carry the day based on the population of Northern electorates and discontent of the Yorubas.
