No it does not, how is it that the person who was shot at and speedily ran off is the one to decide that it is the Germans that shot at him?

Crawford-Browne said evidence showed that Barclays Bank of England financed the acquisition of the BAE
Hawk and the BAE/Saab Gripen fighter aircraft.
Commmerzbank of Germany financed the purchase of the four frigates and three submarines.

Societe Generale in France financed Thomson CSF combat suites in the German frigates. Mediocredito Centrale in
Italy backed the purchase of 30 Augusta helicopters.

The sentence does not carry conclusive info to suggest it was a German ship that fire those shells.

Well done!!! it took you years to wipe out a rebel force, it took South Africa a few days to wipe the M23 of the face of thee earth and took 200 paratroopers a weekend to bring seleka to their knees and beg for a surrender.

Over 10 years now Rangers + SANDF + SF + SAAF have FAILED to wipe out local Rhino poachers reigning supreme on South African homeland soil.

Your Southie record of fighting security threats at home is almost as bad as that of Somalia

Did i say the Germans fired it?
I said it was possible, it could of been German and South African ships firing simultaneously, besides the fishing boat was in the wrong place as well and the captain was fully aware there would be live firing from the South African and German Navies.

These fishing vessels are such a nuisance during live firing exercises.

Some years back one disturbed SA and Germany navy frigates from using their anti-ship missiles to sink a stripped retired strike craft.

Some African navies don't face this cause they never hold live fire exercises.

Just wait for the exercise brief you'll see how that guy was in a area he wasn't supposed to be.

So you confirm that you are basing this on opinion.

Facts are simple - Germans were present and were preparing to run their gunnery drills it was likely them.

And dude, this is just one argument I have. I have an even better one up my sleeves.

Frigates outgunned? by what?

We are developing a BVR domestically for the Gripen... its the 100km Marlin missile

Transport aquisitions are in the pipeline and have been budgeted for. Upgrades are happening constantly - one of the Frigates was just upgraded now during refit

.

None of those entities are engaged in AP duties.

They only provide assistance when it falls within the gambit of Operation Corona

The effectiveness of SANDF in securing the borders is glaringly obvious:

Poachers accessing the Kruger National Park from Mozambique are, according to an Army officer, not as big a problem currently as people living on the western side of the internationally renowned game reserve.

Major Sipho Ndlangamandla, acting operations staff officer at the Nelspruit joint operations centre, is reported by Afrikaans daily Beeld as saying fewer poachers are entering Kruger from the eastern national border with Mozambique.

He said since the military was redeployed to the Kruger National Park in 2011 fewer rhino poachers were entering the park from Mozambique.

According to him poaching syndicates infiltrate Kruger from squatter camps and communities, he used the Afrikaans word “nedersettings” meaning settlements, on the park’s western boundary.

“Before the military came back to Kruger in 2011, poaching was almost out of control. We managed to stabilise the eastern boundary with Mozambique,” he told a counter-poaching demonstration arranged for media near Skukuza this week.

Sub-programme 2 (Maritime Combat Capability) received the largest increase of 79.46 per cent in real terms. This increase is in line with identified strategic priorities and is projected to continue over the MTEF period due to the procurement of harbour tug-boats and payments for the replacement of offshore patrol vessels.

Ask the German navy.

Furthermore, how do you know they were trying to hit it? An unmarked vessel moving at high-speed with its lights off near european vessels in an age of international terrorism - they very well could have been warning shots.

Where does it say 9 and 9?

It says 18 - this means any combination is possible

When the last numbers were released there were 52 Pilots qualified on the Hawks and waiting for the Gripen

Add to this 22 000 hours budgeted and you see that we are neither broke nor short of skills

Not according to the articles from Defenceweb.

In 2013, the SAAF only had 6 qualified Gripen pilots, who fly a combined total of 120 hours.

So you see, your 6 qualified Gripen pilots aren't even qualified in the true sense.

There can be 10,000 qualified hawk pilots. What is however un-mistaken is you had on 6 qualified(un-qualified) pilots in 2013, and a total 18 Air crew for 26 fighter planes.
