It is never a sad ending! He is the only hero in this election, the man who said yes when it matters most. It takes a hero's heart to concede defeat in order to save life. Unlike what happened in 2011 people lost their lives and properties because a man lost an election. Meanwhile, how well or bad he performed will be defined by the incoming government but I see no significant changes coming because the same looters are around and Buhari cannot escape their gimmicks.

Thirty years from today, no one will remember Dame Patience's peculiar style of campaigning or that President Jonathan didn't perform as we all expected of and from him, what posterity will write for him is that he was the first incumbent who not only conducted and allowed a free and fair election in Nigeria but gallantly conceded victory to the winner. In posterity GOODLUCK JONATHAN WINS. Let us hope the incoming President has such a glorious and noble exit when his time comes.

Jona doesn't deserve any commendation. He did everything to truncate Nigeria's democracy and transition government. He tried all the tricks, engaged in all kinds of mischief, tried to kill APC whose time had come, used the army, police, EFCC, civil defence, and destroyed other national institutions. He even toyed with the idea of an interim government. But God Almighty, who was afed up with PDP already made sure he failed in all these. He did all these because of the fear of a Buhari presidency probing them. I remember some of the PDP hawks swearing they will never hand over to Buhari and another saying there will be Amargedon if Jona does not win. I think Jonathan failed himself. presidency

There would NEVER be another like him..his type is extremely rare. Even though I'm pained and disappointed, i understand why he made the sacrifice. I wish him the best his retirement life has to offer with a lot of international recognition. He touched the lives of those who hated him positively and those who hardly knew him... He is a true reflection of what a great leader should be although he was surrounded by terrible hypocrites.
GEJ, please write a book..we would be waiting to read how you managed through the worst hurdles any Nigerian leader has ever faced, wish I could meet you and shake your hands some day. Remain Blessed!!
