I have wanted to ignore some ignominy,of people that find it difficult to praise good deeds, but i don't want this to continue the path.

Time Frame for Conceding defeat

GEJ could have waited till 11:00pm or the next day or even until INEC issues the certificate of returen to GMB. He could have also waited for electoral tribunal and claim he was rigged-out(It's not oblivious that there are evidence of child voters, ballot snatching, card readers failures) is set-up,atleast to put up a show before he can be ousted out of office as an incumbent.

allay and douse tension of supporters

have you imagined what is silence might portend. His supporters, due to fear of what will become of them and their benefit from GEJs govt. would have been restless and this might cause uprisings.

The problem is that we quickly forgot what happened in 2011,or are we implying that people in the south-south have no emotional attachment to the election, that could make them perpetuate and wreck evil.

was GEJs concession,a decision of his?

Information from NTA news,in an interview with Abdusalam abubakar,he made it clear that when he called buhari, buhari told him that GEJ called him by 5:15pm to concede defeat. How do people think Peace keepers will not respect a sitting president and will persuade him to concede an election that the INEC have not declared the winner?

Is this Concession the first in Africa
some people have been praying,he rejects the result and wishing that riot springs up everywhere, but he disappointed their greatest desire.

Just be aware that any violence that springs up,during the elections or after the result have been announced that can't be traced to Jonathans statement or actions,he will not be held responsible, but he ensured that no life was lost due to the already heated result tension. This allayed fears and put it clear to anyone that intends to forment trouble that they are doing so not on his name or authority and they should accept the result.

He may not be the first as some of us want to suggest to belittle the action, but he still remain the first in our fledgling and nascent democracy. Its not too hard to congratulate him on this.

If GEJ had wanted to be in power for 8 years, have you ever asked yourself why he appointed Jega, was he mandated to? Even Jega recently declared that Jonathan has not ever told him to manipulate any result on his behalf. Though some will prefer to say he his clueless, this is not the case,he needn't change the hands of time,he want the voice of the people to be heard.

Jonathan had no choice jare! he knew he was surrounded and not only going to be Gbagboed, but come out of Asorock in a body bag! He just put his life first and did what was in his best interest which was a good thing for him, so forget about all the image making threads for jonathan, no soap can wash him clean!

I believe he cut a deal. He's already done 6 years.

Step down, or be hunted by the powers that be...

He chose wisely.

I know its very difficult to make Nigerians see the hard truth. Don't worry he will decide to handover power to the military by may 29,i am sure this is the kind of news that keeps you happy.

The saga of Laurent gbagbo of ivory coast.

This is not a case of holding on to power, this is a case of accepting the result of the poll, that kept the populace safe from attacks.

I am sure that it was during this election and its propagandas that you were privileged to know about gbagbo.

Let him handover power to even Satan the devil himself and see if he lives to tell the story! What is hard is to expect everyone to drink the hogwash you are shaking. Write from now till eternity about how Jonathan is the best thing since sliced bread, it won't stop him from facing the music when the time comes.

I have not written this to convince you that GEJ is our best president. I know i can't fathom the level of hate you have for him.

Have you managed a group of 20 people in a project/task before? Because some of you saying he failed 0/100,will be swallowed by just the daily task of running a govt.

I do not expect you to make sense. Wait and ask me when I start running to be a president, you don't take a job you can't do.
Jonathan couldn't the work he was hired to do and was voted out.

According to a study by the University of Birmingham: " Trolls are more likely to display noxious personality characteristics, that is, traits that impair one’s ability to build relations and function in a civilised or pro-social way. Trolls are also psychopathic, cold hearted, antisocial, and especially sadistic. Trolls attempt to enhance their poor self esteem by garnering attention, which they lack in their off-line lives."

It's obvious you haven't done pretty much with your life, hence your asinine submission.

When you've cultivated good manners in civilised discourse, you may come back with a rejoinder.

You see, your obiter dicta reveal a lot about your unstable cerebral processes, if you have any at all!

And from what I've been able to glean from your post, I cannot help but conclude that your post is an excellent description of yourself!

Kindest regards.

You people need to stop insulting our senses with this rubbish, the loser did himself a favor by surrendering because saw Gbabo in his staring at him. OBJ and World leaders warned him too. He was cornerd and had no choice but to surrender to the Nigerian electorates and their wishes.

Even his wife's case is still before the ICC. Btw, why should we praise him for doing what he was supposed to do?

Talk battered people with low self-esteem, insecurity and low expectations. .

I came to a conclusion, that the hate most people have for GEJ is beyond his governance and performance.

Most of them have been expecting him as an incumbent not to accept any result,so that they will see the world laugh at him(like gbagbo),but he ended being congratulated like a winner of a sort.
