Abuja – Barely a month to his exit having
lost the Presidential election, President
Goodluck Jonathan, Sunday, reviewed his
sojourn in government and declared that
he has been in a cage for 16 years.
President Jonathan who bared his mind
when the Christian community in Abuja
paid him the traditional Easter homage
said he has had enough and expressed
gratitude to Nigerians for giving him the
opportunity to serve.

While describing himself as one of the
luckiest Nigerians today, President
Jonathan said Nigerians had given him
opportunity to serve the country in the last
16 years at different levels of leadership
noting that he remained grateful to God
and the people of the country for
providing him with such privilege.
His words: “this Easter period coincides
with when I’m leaving but I always say I’m
one of the luckiest Nigerians. From 1999 I
have been in the hands of government. I
am yet to see somebody luckier than me.
“I was in the hands of governments for 16
years, not in government as a
parliamentarian, because if you are in the
National Assembly or state House of
Assembly, you take care of yourself in your
house. I was in a cage being taken care of
by the government. But I think it is enough
and I am happy, help me thank God for
that”.

This is serious. Jonathan should not indirectly bite the fingers that fed him. He need guard his words so as not to expose himself unnecessarily.

Actually, they move Nigerians, unfortunately so. It is really getting irritating. The man should stop acting like the angel he isn't. The only thing he's ever done right was to concede defeat, otherwise his admin was a colossal disaster that Nigeria could have avoided from 2011.

Certainly...i believe all he's doing is to potray him as a president who couldn't hurt a fly. Nigerians are wiser! You might not have hurt a fly,but you hurt a lot of things - our treasury most especially!

All I see is a failure explaining how he ended up being a failure.

He calls it a cage after losing out. If he won again, am not sure he would say the same thing. Is it not what he campaigned vigorously for in 2011? But in that cage, he was eating N1billion food a year. Do you call that a cage? And if he means that people caged him while he was president, it must be that he voluntarily gave himself up to those who caged him. He should have resisted them.

to be candid... he said nothing wrong, was just trying to justify how serving Nigerians helped him and thanking them in return.

I agree with GEJ and everybody that have observing him will no that he always acts like a robot, as if some people are dictacting whatever he should be doing, he never looked free!
