You are a bloody liar. Martin Ezeh, from Igbo UK we in Anambra state was a former LGA chairman in ABA. He is now the traditional ruler of Igbo Ukwu in Anambra State.

never heard of him. which local government? which year?

I need not to comment on tread that can't defined the OP intention. This is politics who so ever want to win go to the his strong hood and seek for support. Forget the no man land issue, ask yourself if an Igbo man has the constitutional right to contest for that post talk less of voting for who dey feel is favorable to them, my broda I'm not in lagos but my cousins (Mayowa, bola, toyin, tolu and kemi in fagba ifako jayi) have all be agitating for JK because they feel he is the right man for the job. So the oba should have just help u select a candidate and lest forget about Election.

Please if your host is trying to trample on your constitutional rights, he should not be respected but castigated. He is just a figure head. He is still under the laws of the LG, a tier of the federal constitution. He should be very careful!

we make law and not the other way round. their are things we should use our common sense for. it's called concessions. you know you are right But you just want to give it up for peace to reign.

the obas might not have the best choice of words...it's not everyone that knows How to speak in anger...still his intentions were human.

So do you want to start another as as a retaliation?

There must be a reaction after an effect. He erred greatly on this.As a leader, he failed woefully on this, as his choice of words can easily instigate physical confrontations in lagos, especially in lagos island, idumota and balogun market.Anytime there is a war there, the igbos suffers the most, whether it concerns them or not!Have you ever seen a fight there before? Pray not to.The Oba made a very very silly comment, very silly!
Re: My Take On The Obas Speech. by Nobody: 9:25pm On Apr 06, 2015
@op, ur points are useless. Both candidates are full-blooded Yorubas, none is Igbo.

truth. But we should not blow it more out of proportion as we are doing now. we are doing more harm than good to this great nation and to the igbos.

Peace half shared is no peace but tolerance.Such kind of peace breeds hatred which will eventually cause a lot of irreparable damages. On this issue, the Oba has NO RIGHT, whatsover to say he will flush the igbos into the lagoon, excerpt he is not a Nigerian. As long as he enjoys the benefits from the federal, state and local government that feeds and recognises his office, he better align with the constitution and stop playing and encouraging ethnic rivalry in politics.

Nobody is blowing nothing out of proportion dear.He is the one blowing it out of proportion by denying he said that.He needs to own up to his unhealthy statement, he is not bigger than the president who conceded to defeat!

I am igbo and I am not Happy with what the oba said.

That being said. I want to look at this from another angle.

I live in ABA, which is a natively owned by the Ngwa people. ABA can be considered as a no man's land because more than 80% of it's citizens are foreigners.

Now in ABA, even as densely populated by foreigners as it is, no foreigner holds any political post concerning ABA. mind you the foreigners we are talking about here are still igbos.

let's take this to Lagos. Lagos is the biggest Yoruba nation. this has never being in doubt. igbos migrated to Lagos because of their favourable business environment and I bet you, Lagos has being good to my brothers.

Lagosian are good host, that I can attest to.

As I being a non ngwa man would not contest for a political position in ABA, as s mark of respect to my host, I wouldn't still expect any igboman to contest for political position in Lagos. just as an Hausa man would never be allowed to take office in Enugu.

As guests, I think the igbos should be as apolitical as possible. You done come to a man's house, kidnap his wife and rape her in his presence!

I think the oba was provoked and is doing what any very grounded traditional ruler in the east Would have done If he is to be in his shoes.

you are dead wrong. tolerance is maturity. he that can tolerate bears no hatred. concealment is not tolerance.
mind you he did not say he would drown anybody. he said 'you would be drowned '...sounded more like curse to me than threat.

Lol. You aren't treating the issue. No igbo is talking about taking up political post as a governor of lagos, but exercising their voting rights to elect a YORUBA candidate of their choice. What is wrong with you Nna?
e no tire u?to elect a Yoruba person o...the kind of tribalism going on in naija today is terrible. .d oba and the op are fools

my friend, majority of ndigbo are in pdp since 1999.I don't understand what you mean to spite apc.do you want them to vote against their party candidate just to please their so called host?before apc was formed ndigbo was already in pdp and anybody suggesting that nrigbo are voting pdp out of hate must be out of his mind.

Op you are not sincere that no ngwa person can hold political office in Aba....you lied!if truly you live in Aba you should know that an Abiriba man won HoR under apga recently and mascut uzor kalu ran under ppa for aba north.in the past Margaret Ekpo represented Aba in Eastern house of assembly in first Republic she was from cross river state.Otti's parents came from Arochukwu but he was born in ngwaland and today he is running as an ngwa candidate for next week governorship election.

U are very reasonable, igbos should know that we have giving them enough freedom even morethan there counterpart hausa, but I think they are mis using the opportunity, which am sure they will be disgraced

i believe in mutual respect over law. if the yoruba's has given the igbos the respect of not interfering in their business ventures in lagos (their main purpose in the state), the igbos should also not interfere in Lagos politics, as a mark of respect to their host.

That being said, we all should just let this pass. These politicians are seeking to divide us. they might not know what they are doing now, because of their selfish desire, but it would surely backfire in the near future.
