LET US GO TO GALILEE: Acts 2:14:22-33, Mt. 28:8-15. In today's first reading, we see Peter as nothing but the fearful disciple we had seen in the past. After the descent of the Holy Spirit, Peter stands in the midst of the crowd and in a firm voice proclaims that Jesus is the Messiah. This "new" Peter speaks in a different and more confident voice than the one who had huddled in fear in the locked upper room after the crucifixion. He has been changed. Why? Jesus gives us the answer as he meets the women rushing from the tomb. His first words to them - and us - are "Peace!" And then "Do not be afraid!" Jesus wants us first to be at peace, to feel the love and redemption He offers us. Yes, it is true and now, as believers, witnesses to this miracle of love, we are asked by Jesus to "go and carry the news..." There are days when we will be happy to do so with courage and joy. There will be times when we will forget, fall asleep, deny Jesus and run away fearfully, forgetting the joy. But He will always be there to meet us with His arms gently open, His eyes filled with love, saying, "Do not be afraid." May the joy of the Lord continue to be our strength this Easter season! Amen! Good morning and Happy Easter Monday!!!

Thanks to everyone posting the actual reading or verses from the bible. You don't realise how much it has been of help since arriving in Saudi Arabia where the bible can't even enter their ports.

Please continue to do so, I appreciate alot. I must say regardless of how haram Christianity is here, that has pulled me closer to my God. smiley smiley smiley I am so thankful to the Arabs for the relationship I have with God now.

Some biblical messages on His resurrection to meditate on
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds, you have been healed.” -- 1 Peter 2:24

“But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.” -- Isaiah 53:5

“And they will mock him and spit on him, and flog him and kill him. And after three days he will rise.” -- Mark 10:34

“And he said to him, ‘Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.’” -- Luke 23:43

“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’” -- Luke 24:6-7

“And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name.” -- Romans 1:4-5

. “The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name.” (Luke 24:46-47)

“He was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.” (Romans 4:25)

“Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-5)

“According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3)

“For as by a man came death, by a man has come the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ shall all be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:21-22)

“For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his.” (Romans 6:5)

“We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.” (Romans 6:9)

“…that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death…” (Philippians 3:10)

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

“…just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4)

“If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:11)

“Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised— who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” (Romans 8:34)

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

“For you will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let your holy one see corruption.” (Psalm 16:10)

. “He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces.” (Isaiah 25:

“But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; on him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and by his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

“As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth.” (Job 19:25)

“God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power.”
(1 Corinthians 6:14)

“…who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.” (1 Peter 1:21)

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

WEEP NO MORE: Acts 2:36-41, Jn 20:11-18. Peter has been transformed from cowardly denying Jesus to addressing a crowd of three thousand. He tells them to "repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins". In the same way, Mary Magdalene transformed from being sinner to Saint. In her grief and hopelessness she mistakes Jesus for the gardener in her search. Only when Christ calls her name does she realise who He is. She cries out in joy and later proclaims to the disciples "I have seen the Lord." Having seen the light of the risen Christ, she is changed from a woman lost in grief to a light herself. The glow of Easter is still upon us. The glory of the risen Christ shines for us. Once we have seen this light , we can never be the same. Christ calls us to be lights for the world so that our lives, like Peter and Mary Magdalene might reflect just a little of the light of Christ to those stumbling through a dark world. Mary, whom everyone considers a "sinner" revealed great love and this love erased the old and the shameful label attributed to her. Hence, it is said, "One single act of love destroys a multitude of sins." The story of Mary Magdalene is our story. Mary the "sinner" became Mary the "saint". This indicates what we can be become. The different between sinners and saints is that of the experience of love and the consequent lifestyle of love. Let the example of Mary prompt us to love, and let the experience of our love give rise to the conversion of many. May the Lord continue to be bountiful to us, and lead us to the perfect freedom by which the joy that gladdens our way on earth shall be fulfilled in heaven! Amen!! Good morning, Peace be with you!!!

EASTER GLORY FILLS THE SKY: Acts 3:1-10, Lk. 24:13-35. In today's first reading, the people are astonished to see Christ healing power in Peb ter and John. At first, the lame man was disappointed that the disciples could offer no money. But in his disappointment the power of God was made manifest when he cast his gaze on the disciples. The same way, the disciples on the way to Emmaus was disappointed that the one they had hoped will redeem Israel was killed by the same people they had thought He would conquer. However, they regain their hope when they demanded that the Lord should stay with them. Because Christ live and ever present with us, all fear is gone and we need to invite Him to stay with us always. In case we feel disappointed that our weaknesses comes back after the Lenten mortification of self and thinking of returning to business as usual like the disciples on the way to Emmaus, Jesus who enlightened these men can do the same for us. We too, if only we would examine ourselves sincerely, with an attentive examination of our sadness, our discouragement, our being little tired of life, we would find a clear link with this Gospel passage. We would discover how we often remark 'if God is alive, He wouldn't have allow this or that to happen to my family,' because we forget that, just as on the road to Emmaus, Jesus is alive and by our side at this very moment. This discovery will enlighten our faith and revive our hope. Jesus commands now at this very moment that we walk with Him. Jesus lives. May the Lord awaken our hearts and make us holy this day by the gift of the Spirit! Amen!! Good morning, It is well with you!!!
