This is my first topic on nairaland, so I plead ur support and indulgence to promote this topic to the front page. lol.

Gabon has been selected to host the 2017 AFCON tournament. the qualifiers are expected to commence by mid June....... it's so bad that Nigeria has to be in the same group as Egypt. Wetin we do CAF? here is the full list of the group pairings.

Caf is a joke, out of over 50 nations in the continent.

Will Nigeria make it this time?
Egypt I think will clinch the ticket for Group G.

I didn't even notice........... CAF is really a joke. with all this their francophone politics in African football...... our Nigerian guys for NFF no go carry their garages go CAF, Na only local politics Dem go dey play.

The top teams from each group and top 2 second placed teams will qualify.

No complasancy this time and we must field our best team in all matches. We must play even Chad with our full strength. No under dogs in Africa any more.

That Congo game in Calabar still bitter in my mind.

The boys we featured in our last 2 friendlies are imposters. We need our regulars back like: Ambrose, Echiejile, Oshaninwa, Moses, Ike Uche, Mikel (when he recovers), Emenike. We also need to convert Sammy Ameobi and reinvite Imoh Ezekiel and Uche Nwofor. As for Ideye he jst a flash in the pan at WestBrom(he can b reinvited though), Anichebe is too injury prone, Ighalo and Ujah are nt Super Eagles materials.

Leon Balogun has proven a good right back so Ambrose should go back to his Original Centre back position where he will pair with Omeruo. Egwuekwe and Obaobona should sit on d bench. We need the experience of Elderson at left back.
Onazi should maintain d defencive midfield role while Aluko replaces Mikel. Moses and Musa can maintain their wing forward positions while Babatunde plays the attacking midfiel role behind Ike Uche.

This is our best team for now

Going forward, Musa can b converted to a Centre forward. If we can get Sammy Ameobi he can replace Musa at the flanks.

and don't forget Mba........... without Mba we wouldn't have won nations cup. he scored d two most important goals for us and instead of keshi to be rational and support the lad when he had travelling issues, he just abandoned d guy like dat. maybe that has been d nemesis wey dey haunt am.
