A MESSAGE FOR THE GOOD PEOPLE OF AKWA ABASI IBOM STATE

I had the privilege to speak to you, the good people of Akwa Ibom State at a mega rally organized at Uyo on Saturday the 21st of March 2015 by the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Umana Okon Umana, its gubernatorial candidate. Since then we have had the Presidential and National Assembly elections which resulted in the election of General Muhammadu Buhari as the President-elect for this country. It is therefore my pleasure to speak to you again, through this medium, on the .coming Gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections which are to be held on Saturday, the 11th of April 2015.

It is my singular pleasure to inform you that the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, has a message for you. He says: “give me a governor that I can work with so that together, we can develop your state”. Can we possibly deny our in-coming President this simple request?

We must give our President a Governor he can work with to develop our state and that governor is Umana Okon Umana.

Let’ me remind you that, our out-going governor, Barrister Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON, in presenting Udom Emmanuel as his candidate, had warned us of the folly and danger of being in the opposition. Even if this is to be the first time that I would agree totally with governor Akpabio, let me say that I, Obong Victor Attah, agree entirely with him, that Akwa Ibom, which has
always been in the ruling party, must not now go into opposition.

Victor Attah is a former governor of Akwa Ibom State and also a current BOT member of PDP. How he campaigns openly for an oppositon candidate and the PDP doesn't see this as anti-party activities is beyond me.

As low and infinitesimal as APC's chance in Rivers is, it is still a bigger chance than they have in Akwa Ibom.
They have no chance at all there.

In any case, you can't be too sure anymore these days. If PDP can loose Aso Rock, then nothing is impossible - even your blessed Rivers.

Speak for yourself bro. All the pro-PDP folks that I know of in Akwa Ibom have all switched their allegiance to the ruling party.

The jingle (of the above article) by Obong Attah currently running on radio stations in the state is working wonders against your party.

Is Tinubu your problem? The Akpabios have used your "God given resources" to build a dynasty for themselves, and play demi-gods. Their evil dynasty is about to crumble before their very eyes. I bet you, he'll even run and leave his Senate seat.
