AGBAJE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR IGNITING ONE TRIBE AGAINST THE OTHER AND STARTING A MALICIOUS CAMPAIGN. HE SHOULD BE PAID BACK WITH 'NO VOTE' SO THAT AMBODE CAN WIN AND BRING HEALING TO THE SITUATION.

IF THE IBOS CAN REASON THROUGH, THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE THINKING. I DO NOT SUPPORT WHAT THE OBA SAID. BUT THE TRUTH BE TOLD, HE DID NOT START IT. HE WOULD NOT HAVE, IF NOT THAT SOME PEOPLE STARTED CALLING LAGOS A 'NO MAN'S LAND'. AND ONE FELLOW STARTED TO ASK IGBO PEOPLE TO VOTE EN BLOC AGAINST APC. IT WAS VERY SILLY TO DO THAT.

IGBOS SHOULD DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM THAT CAMPAIGN AND LIKE MANY YORUBAS SEEK TO HEAL THE SITUATION AND NOT BLOW IT OUT OF PROPORTION.

IT IS POSSIBLE THAT AGBAJE WILL BECOME A PERSONA NON GRATA IN YORUBA LAND FOR HIS KIND OF CAMPAIGN. HE IS NOT THE KIND OF PERSON TO PUT YOUR STAKES FOR. IGBOS, DONT MISS OUT IN THE OPPORTUNITY FOR INCLUSION IN A UNITY GOVERNMENT LED BY AMBODE.

Your paragraphs totally contradict each other. One moment you are tribalistic, the other moment you are saying we are all human beings. I am not yoruba, I'm from Delta and based in Lagos. You want to know what pained the Oba?

Igbos said they will one day produce the governor of Lagos, they even wanted to run for vice in 2015.
They called Lagos a 'no man's land' that yorubas are claiming it.
They said Lagos is nothing but a colonial settlement.

Sincerely in your God mind, answer this : Will the people in South east Nigeria take this in their state from any other tribe? Even anambra self won't take it from other igbos.

And who told you the igbos are the most hardworking? What does hardworking mean to you?
Don't you think it means something else to me?
You might prefer to carry stones and break rocks with a sledge and call it hard work while I prefer to sit down for hours doing research and creating a cure for Ebola, that could be hardwork to me.

Lagos belongs to the Yorubas first before another Nigerian. If foreigners from Cotonou and Togo come to attack people in Lagos, the Yorubas will get up first to defend their home. When they can't subdue the intruders then Nigerians will join to help them.

Igbos should just learn to be careful with their utterances as regards Lagos. What you will not allow in your own home, do not do it in another persons home.

Lagos became the capital of Nigeria, because it is Lagos, Yoruba Land and it has been a trade centre even before the british took over. I think calabar used to be a capital too, so why is calabar not like Lagos?...

Respect your host and do not cause problems with your utterances.

Aplaudir. 100000000likes.

ibos are the problem in nigeria. hardworking in crime, baby factories, and illegal businesses.

ibo causing problems everywhere he finds himself since 1900.

Ibos still don't get the drift.... Its not about any hidden hate/ hatred. Its about the energy, speech and claims the Ibos put out there.

Ibos are not the only suscessful pple in Lagos. In fact Deltans ( Urhobos, Isokos, Ekales, etc) Ijaws, Itshekiris, Ibibios, Efiks.....just name it...are engaged in legitimate businesses and are also prosperous in their world and yet no one has troubles with any of them.

But yorubqs classify anyone dats not frm yoruba aa ibo na.

Igbos should continue this noise at their own peril. If they continue this for too long, Yorubas will launch first attack and AM SURE, it won't end well for them. NB- Igbos cant take it up to ds stage in their domain. Lets preach peace, war won't help anyone. Peaceful disintegration might be an alternative too. Yorubas will survive alone and pick-up in no time

Aworis Youth Mandate under the able leadership of Adekunle bola has asked that all yoruba of non- aworis extraction leeching on their development and resources should start preparing to vacant the state.

He explained that yorubas come to lagos to feast on their resources, contributing absolutely nothing in return.

"An Ekiti from his jungle village will come to Lagos to drag jobs like security and vigilante with locals, so it time to tell them all who are the real owners of Lagos. "

Once the permission is sanction there will be a exodus, so it is better they start packing before the time reaches. As the say " a stitch in time saves nine."

This is 21st century, NO TIME FOR PARASITISM !

even the Northerners are contributing more than these yorubas, Awori people shall not stand and watch her resources pillaged and ravaged by these ingrates and rascals.

He went on to explain that most crimes in the state are perpetuated by neighboring states especially Ogun people and ijebus.

How can one individual write that crap and claim to representing all yorubas from around the globe?

You go siddon for another man land dey wait make time pass make you claim citizenship and you can still shamelessly spew absolute junk calling your fellow Countrymen 'foreigners' in their own Country?

I believe many of the Igbos were given birth to in the West, including Lagos, so you aspiring to be awarded citizenship in other continents have no basis to refer to these people as foreigners in their own Country.

Secondly, no matter the negative experience we must have had with Igbos at one point or another in the past, we MUST do the RIGHT thing NOW which includes condemning any sort of threat to freedom against any group of people. Besides, the writer managed to rightly point out that there will definitely the many individuals from this same group who live peacefully and contribute to development; then why persecute the WHOLE tribe?

Absolute rubbish!! Who are these Odua foundation? So as an Igbo man I am now a foreigner in Lagos? The Yorubas actually think they are doing us Igbos a favour by accommodating us in Lagos? How laughable. Did we come to Lagos to beg for food? This is the same Lagos the Yorubas "sold" to the British as a crown colony in the 1860's. The same Lagos that Igbos left 1967 to go back home and create their own nation of Biafra but the Yorubas teamed up with their Hausa comrades to fight a war to bring us back. Well we Igbos are here now and we ain't going no where. As far as I'm concerned, the Oba of Lagos is a nobody and Lagos is a satellite Igbo territory. Agbaje to win!!!! Fork APC!!!

The political atmsopshere concerning Lagos has changed irrevocably and with its reverbrating effects all round our socio-economic landscape,it will be keen to observe how the pervading tension is doused although we see no end in sight but we do see minor flashpoints occurring btw tribes down the end of the road.Just like the running battles with northerners in ethno-religious crises,we can ably point out face-off reprisals of which the igbos can come on top given their dogged nature and experience of butchering Hausas in the east in reciprocity after years of one-sided massacres in the north....Killing yorubas in the east, north or even southwest in reciprocity wouldn't be a big deal especially now we have a democracy.

These Yoruba ppl are so selfish and pompous!

If not that Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria, It would have been a local minor state like every other state in this country!!
This discrimination towards Igbo people by yorubas is getting out of hand!
for starters, why on earth should that useless oba threaten igbos in Lagos?? Are we not free to vote whoever we want?? That oba and his supporters are sent to destroy the peace of this country!

What I really wanna understand is what exactly did Igbo ppl do to this man
This inhumane discrimination has been going on for a long time! As long as u are a citizen of Nigeria, u have every right to settle down wherever u want in Nigeria.

we don't discriminate against any tribe in igboland, so why should they? In case they didn't know, igbos also took part in developing Lagos. Igbos are the most hardworking ppl in Nigeria(and I'm not saying that bkus I'm Igbo, its the fvcking truth. just like everybody knows Yorubas like education and parties)

for Pete's sake, we are the same ppl, human beings. just like someone said, tribes are just created to give power, it doesn't differentiate u from others.

#peace! angry
It seems you are MR know Everything. Hence answer this question; When would an Ibo (Igbo) become Nigeria President? Hahahhaa don't bother the answer is NEVER.

I don't understand what respect one gives for not voting a lagosian. Is JK not a lagosian? Is democratic process of voting ones choice now a disrespect to a traditional throne in a federal nation? The igbos dont own lagos, I agree, but they still constitute a huge percentage of its population, and has the constitutional rights to vote and be voted for, in other for their interests to be favoured through good policies qq.

Igbo people are a special race and even the bible and quoran prophesied about it.

I am Igbo but I swear u sound arrogant! Agreed that Igbos have the constitutional rights to live freely in Lagos but the host community and the indigenes deserve some resect. They said lagos is their land and not a a 'No mans land' why can't you respect that?

Irrespective of what the Oba of Lagos said, the Yorubas stil expect u to respect the throne because its an institution!

Meanwhile I strongly frown at the Oba's statement. As a royal father, I expect him to know better.

And as a tribal bigot, the sacred throne was right to threaten their neighbouring tribe with Lagoon?
How come you forgot that this could start a tribal war..
How many kilometers separate Igbo and Yoruba lands?

Have you ever heard that a Yoruba man in Enugu was killed or threatened?

Or because it was once the center of Nigeria.

It would have been different if a tout threatened the Igbo nation with Lagoon, not one useless Oba.

u gave a wrong example, Onitsha pple migrated from benin and settled in their present site. The original inhabitants of the present onitsha are from idemmili/obosi. Therefore, onitsha is clearly Igboland. But lagos is inhabited by the awori ethnic group, the yorubas due to close proximity migrated to lagos, the aworis accomodated them and they(yorubas) started claiming ownership. So lagos is NOT yoruba land.
