UNITE NIGERIA OR CRASH IT, EITHER WAY, WE IGBOS ARE READY. MEANWHILE, YORUBAS AND OTHER TRIBES ARE FREE TO COME TO SOUTHEAST AND BUY LANDS. NOBODY HAS COMPLAINED THAT HE/SHE WANNA BUY LAND OR HOUSE IN DA EAST, BUT WAS TURNED DOWN BASE ON HIS/HER TRIBE. IF YOU GO TO EDINBURGH, ESP UDORJI STREET IN ENUGU, MOST OF THE PRINTING PRESS AND CLOTHES DESIGNING BUSINESSES ARE DOMINATED BY YORUBAS. A YORUBA IS A MAYOR IN LONDON, AND HAS D HIGHEST NUMBER OF NIGERIANS IN GREAT BRITAIN, SO WHILE ALL D NOISES. LAGOS IS IN NIGERIA, AND NIGERIA BELONGS TO ALL OF US. |

Lady Chimamanda, can you please stop this long forgotten discourse? Everyone pricks on molehill to create mountains so they could remain relevant. Lady Adichie is no exception here. The Oba spoke as a man (just like every other human) but in strong yoruba metaphors intelligible to everyone but the igbo nation, being who they are, intentionally twisted the context to draw sentiments and instigate non-existing hatred...That's opportunism. Saying the Ibos should be grateful for being welcome in Lagos shouldn't be taken too far...I wonder why you didn't include the north east states in your discourse where non-hausas are treated with grave suspicion, hatred and skepticism. Why do the hausas descend on non-hausas whenever a little misunderstanding arises? Why are non-indigenes not Openly welcome in the north? If you are blind to that area then your seemingly intelligible discourse (apologetic to your kindred alone for obvious reasons) which tends to hide under the guise if 'nationalism' is nothing but a sentimentally conjured discourse. Broaden your view to capture the real issues and don't just jump on molehill issues to escalate it. I honestly have no time for you now pretty lady, our talk, another day. |

They all scared of the Igbo's..... they obviously know our capabilities so they wonder what will become of them if we pull together! A Yoruba man is naturally lazy and backward, before you kill me, apart from Lagos which no mans land, please visit Yoruba home towns and see how poverty eaten deep. #bringthelagoon-on #foolishoba |

Eurobomber, I hope this Chimamanda's article explains to u the foolishness of your NL apology. Next time, know your history and the key issues before endangering your people further with such silly write up. You have a good heart but you are naïve. Know yourself, know your history, know your nation. I'm big on peace but not at the altar of self-immolation or endangering the lives of my people or that of others. I shall pray and work towards mutual respect, love and unity in our country. But until we find creative ways of healing old wounds and fractures, and instituting a functional and powerful truth and reconciliation ministry, our journey to nationhood is still endangered. |

Ymodulus:Who gives a fúck about your respect? Do you think Adiche knows you much less your non-existing respect? Nigga shove your respect up your azz because your respect won't stop the truth from being spoken nor adds a dime to her bank account!! If you are so unbiased as you claimed, how come none of your posts was directed to the Oba that insulted a tribe? So an Oba should not be disrespected but Igbo can disrespected by him? So much for your respect. Jonathan never threatened Buhari's voters, he allowed us all to vote whom we want, but your tribalistic Oba wished Igbo death and your biased soul saw no wrong in that? North votes massively for their sons and it's okay, but when Igbos votes for non-Igbo, they're brainwashed. You'd be given an award for the most biased thing on earth. Intelligent discourse is not your thing, stick to being dumb. Look at who is talking about respect like Adiche knows a thing like you exist!! |
