This regional polities we're praticing is not helping us to attain the speedly development we needed in this country. Ekiti and other part of the Yorubaland prove exactly what a region should be or do. How can ten state from proved that they are satisfied with current situations of thing. |

Truckpusher:This has been the problem of we igbos.we never play the politics that is necesary.always at the extreem of emotions that get us nothing.I kept on with this in agument with some folks about the need for our neutrality since the stronger north and west have formed an alliance and since we weren't sure of the next government but emotion ruled our heads.if jonathan had won it would have only been for four yes and PDP will sede it back to the north who will hold government for eight years afterwords.jonathan is not an igbo man,we don't even share boundries with bayelsa the heck historically we even have poor relationship with the middlbelt uptill this moment. The igbo man is ALONE.we have been very backword politically for decades now compared to north and west.this was a perfect opportunity to play smart and get back something but we haven't and now there is panic.we see the hausa man as less smart (that's for those expecially who haven't had the fortune of exposure with different cultures) but they have always aimed for and controled government for decades.please for the next eight years, this is a chance for the people of imo to get easy lobby from the new government since the rulling party is in charge of government and return Rochas back to power.its almost like the post civil war again already.brace up for a tough 8 years igbos.its my personal opinion. 4 Likes 1 Share |

MzJackBaueress: The result was concluded midnight and Okorocha won. I do not believe it can be altered. Okorocha won in 20 LGAs including Mbaitoli, Owerri west, Owerri municipal and Ngor-Okpala. He equaly won in Ehime Mbano, Onuimo and the entire Okigwe zone 1 Like |

Okorocha thinks that after littering the whole state capital with mosques and dome shaped house people will still be happy with him . Those ten thousand youths he sacked who benefitted from Ohakim tenure are back to haunt him. 1 Like |

babasanti:I can't agree less. There is every possibility that Prof Osinbajo will become the president. The Southwest (and to some extent MiddleBelt) APC senators can even gang up with the PDP senators (from the South) to impeach Buhari if he messes up so that Prof can take over. There's also the issue of health. I wish Buhari longlife though. 1 Like |

Abagworo:You are getting emotional. Let's have your results. Rochas has been having issues in Oguta, Ohaji/Egbema and Oru East. I know Hope is an Iroko in Orlu zone: he would want to teach Rochas one or two lesson especially as both men have a mighty axe to grind. Let the better man between Ihedioha, who BTW is a very tidy politician, and Rochas win. I will however like Ihedioha to win to reposition Imo State as the intellectual capital of South East zone. Tired of Rochas noisemaking and impunity. We want our Imo back, and I am saying the foregoing without prejudice to the fact that I am from Njaba in Orlu zone. 3 Likes |

emmysoftyou: Bro, in as much I don't believe in the 2006 population census, as I believe all Igbo clans were deliberately under counted by NPC. But seeing that the under counting took place in all parts of Igboland, it can be taken as a constant, and shouldn't affect the result when comparing the population of Igbo communities. From 2006 census. Isiala mbano = 198,736 Ehime Mbano= 150,000 Total = 348,736 Aboh mbaise = 195,652 Ahiazu mbaise = 170,902 Total = 366,554 As you can see, I didn't add Ezinihite mbaise LGA yet Mbaise block still have more population than the mbano block. Mbaise is probably the most populous voting block in Imo state. 1 Like 1 Share |
