The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has takes early lead in the governorship election results so far released in some local government areas in Taraba state.
Zing local government area, APC 5,224 PDP 28,005.
Lau local government area, APC 13,094 PDP 20,595.
Ardo Kola local government area, APC 13,042 PDP 14,041
Jalingo local government area, APC 37,914 PDP 19,047
Twelve local government areas and Yantu Development area are yet to alive as at the time of the report.

However another unconfirmed report has it that the All Progressives Party, APC, governorship candidate in Taraba State. Sen Aisha Jummai Alhassan leading in five local government areas of in the state.

The unconfirmed reports said that she is leading in Jailing, Wukari, Saduna, Dutse and one other.

The source said that Aisha Jummai Alhassan could win the the election and be the first female governor if she polled the majority of votes in these five LGs since they are the areas that determine who wins the election in the state due to population.

I know the election there will be very tough. Although, I still see the woman emerging at the end of the day. The Hausa's ideology of a woman must not rule is telling on the results just as the way they got our Sister, Aunty Foluke Etteh the 1st female speaker impeached. Now, the hope of having the 1st elected female governor is getting shattered.


Whoever won, will emerge with a slight margin.

We all know that PDP will win Taraba state despite the fraudulent celebration of APC. Senator Aisha will only govern in the dreams of APC.

PDP’s Ishaku in early lead in 10 Taraba councils April 11, 2015 Written by Fanen Ihyongo, Jalingo The Peoples Democratic (PDP) was in early lead in the governorship and State Assembly elections in ten of the sixteen local government councils of Taraba state on Saturday. The PDP which fielded Darius Dickson Ishaku was leading in Wukari, Donga, Karimlamido, Kurmi, Bali, Takum, Ussa, Zing, Yorro and Jalingo -the state capital. Bali local government area had voted for the President Elect Gen. Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election. but the people however voted for the PDP in Saturday’s guber polls. Ailing Governor Danbaba Suntai left the Government House in Jalingo early morning to his village Suntai to vote for his PDP candidate (Ishaku). A heavy crowd swarmed him, some shielding tears of love and joy. They queued behind him to vote for PDP. Suntai voted in his Maman 012 polling unit of Suntai Ward. The governor did his accreditation and voting in his official car. The PDP was also leading in the House of Assembly elections. The PDP candidates in Wukari I and II constituencies were already declared winners as at press time. Mean while the elections in Kashimbilla and Malushe areas of Takum were postponed for Sunday.
