Like we care. North that have ruled since eons, why are they still ranking least in everything in terms of development? The reality is OP, there'll Never be a southern president ever again. As long as the north runs, there ppl will always vote for them. SE will never get SW votes, SW after this election have show what a treacherous group they are once again and expect noone from SS or SE will ever vote SW into presidency, talkless of allowing them to rig using that region. Best believe North won the lifetime presidency thanks to Yoruba once again cutting them selves in the ass by their usual act of trying to be cunning. |

Politics will remain a game of number. SW without the support of SS and SE will remain a minority. It means for a Yoruba man to be a President he must win in these region. |

OneNaira6:Nigeeia is an irony. It seems the more time a region spends in Aso rock the poorer they are. Presidency in Nigeria is directly proportional to regional poverty. Just take a look at the north- 30 years presdency, 30 times poorer. SW, 11 years presidency, 11 times poorer than the East, with beggars swarming everywhere in Oyo, Osun. Isnt Nigeria an interesting irony?. Anyway, The Presidency may never come back to the south anymore. Remember how Obafemi Awolowo was rejected by Igbos when he contested against Shagari/ Ekwueme after supervising the death of Igbo infants. That game will be replayed in the future. Their Fashola will never be president, i like him but he's unlucky. He is muslim, where will he get a northern christian as VP?. Will the Muslim North vote a Christian Northern VP since the PDP will field a Northern Muslim and Christian easterner. Will the north prefer a SW Fashola/David Adamu to a Northern Muazu/ Chime for instance? Let the entire South forget the presidency for the next 100yrs. With our improved electoral system (thanks to GEJ). Real politics has just begun. |

saintopus:From 1999-2011 tribalism was almost and virtually becoming a forgotten trend in nigeria but the SE(Arthur Eze during the anambra elections) and GEJ resurrected it in a far deeper intensity than we have ever witnessed. Friends went against friends, families were turned against each other, regional groups such as afeninifere, ohaneze and arewa were polarised and used against their peoples interest. Ethnic militias were enriched and encouraged to blossom. The country was going downwards. We needed someone rescuer her urgently. March 28, was a golden date to effect the change and Nigerians did. |
