If this happens, I will hero worship him. I currently spend N30,000-N45,000 on fuel per month and I don't find it funny. Imagine that been reduced to N8,000 per month for me.

It better be true oo. David-west you have risen my hope. Buhari will forever become an hero if he reduces pump prices and fix our electricity.

Fix these two and others will auto fix themselves. Inflation will reduce, companies will make more money meaning their workers will automatically make more money too thereby reducing the proverty level. Reduce the property level and people will have more money to eat healthy thereby increasing our life span.

This will also lead to the growth of small and medical scale enterprises which will also lead to more empployment.

GOD, it be better be true.
Amen o.. Amen

There has been so much talk about the magician from Daura, we will wait to see them walk the talk after may 29. For the mean time, it will do everyone well for all these rabble rousers to talk less until in order not to create problems for the incoming administration.

With the current low oil prices? Oh wait, that means he's going to further expand the fuel subsidy program, the exact fraud GEJ tried to terminate as it drains our FX coffers. Nigerians, I present to you your "change". Talk about One Chance.

When was the oil price over $150/barrel? Where are you getting your figures? Oil price/barrel was averaged $100 before the fall mid last year during GEJ administration. One reason GEJ failed in that sector was because he was a product of the "cabals". Members of the cabals and their puppets equally filled his government and sensitive positions. Also they were firm in the NASS and the Civil Service. "Removal" of the subsidy which he agreed with all Governors to do was seen as an affront to them and was also ill-timed. Mind you he has naturally lost every moral and political will to pursue such program plus he did it ill-timed. You saw the resultant protests that almost led to the fall of his government(as at then), and contributed to his loss in popularity. The cabals knew that a second term for GEJ(who decided to do "on his own" by feeding the fingers that fed him) will not favor their enterprise, hence, they moved against him.

Now, looking at the buhari scenaro and seeing same people sponsoring his regime in addition to political businessmen that has been in opposition, your guess is as good as mine. You may disagree but time will tell!

The only way out is to get a government that is sponsored and supported by the masses and not cabal sponsored government. Otherwise, we will continue to be at the mercies of these people. It is not about the personality of a leader, it is about the character and "interests" of his associates.

I think this should do on this subject!
u are correct, gej is a product of d cabal,in 2011-dagote,adenuga otedola and co sponsor gej election, that is why he please them by increasing subsidy from 230b to 2.6t,to d detriment of d masses, that was d begining of gej unpopularity, couple with d sales of power to his cronies. if buhari can handle this two things within four year,u wil see how d economy wil boom, because of d multiplier effect as kero wil sale for 50naira,fuel 60naira,disea 80naira,and above all they wil be light.that wil make nigeria to be truly d giant of africa.

Chilling to see what magic this man will perform with all this people around him. hmmmmm
bros ,just wait and see what will happen. If u talk now they will say it is because pdp lost the election. There is no magic buhari can perform with the corrupt system through which he entered engineered by corrupt ppl into a corrupt political rule. He is the product of corruption, even if he an angel how will he change or eliminate the 96% of heavily corrupt individuals surrounding him from the presidency to the senate and house.

Professor Tam David West is a professor without political vision. Money crude oil generates for Nigeria is not huge enough to bring free things for the huge population of Nigeria. Nigeria is not less populated Saudi, Libya, etc.

Buhari's election achieved a lot for born to rule: 1, prolongation of the existing 36 states plus Abuja political structure rigged to favour Born to Rule Emirates.

2, Consolidation of power on the hands of Born to Rule to unduly and heavily influence who can lead Nigeria many more years from now.

That's if we will allow buhari to touch our oil. Look buhari should cut a deal with us. We the owners of the oil, want 85% ownership of oil wells then 25% oil derivation then we will agree nigeria is united until then we are not intrested in his administration

It is very possible with sincerity to fight the subsidy scam. Gej and pdp have been shouting cabal in the oil subsidy, are these people invisible? Or how come nor of them have been brought to book?

Remove or reduce the scam in that industry and you would see how possible N40 per litre is.
There is no where in the world that petrol sells for the dollar equivalent of N40/litre. Even the countries that are enjoying the fall of petrol prices without any subsidy from their government don't buy petrol at that price. Quit trying to maintain this obstinacy of yours, this is the most unrealistic thing to expect from Buhari.

Until February when the Naira virtually got murdered, Venezuela, Egypt, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Turkmenistan, Bahrain, Libya, and a few others had pump price at about N40/L or less.

Even now, pump price is still roughly N4/L (u heard that right 4Naira/L) in Venezuela,N22/L in Libya, N32/L in Saudi.

They still get free gas to all households in Turkmenistan, and 120 Litres free petrol every month (not sure if they still give out that much lately).

The 13% derivation you are presently getting is enough to transform the Niger Delta! There's NDDC, with a Federal Ministry to boot, yet nothing to show for the Niger Delta! I'm afraid every additional revenue to the Niger Delta will traverse the same route, private pockets!
