Can anybody suggest best transmission oil and engine oil for ACURA MDX 02 thanks

please consult your car manual...Engine oil is 5w20 and honda or acura ATF dw-1..

5w20 for your engine oil while your transmission oil is Dw1 or z-1 fluid

Don't you think a 5w20 would run lighter than usual in the tropics?

I would say a 5w30 oh.

5w-20 is what the manual says, better to stick with it.

I agree with you, I use 5W-30, considering the weather condition here as well as the age of the engine. Though the recommended oil is 5w20 but I use 5w30 for my 04 model.

Use 5W-30 synthetic for the engine, you can get from stallion group and for the ATF, DW1 is the only way to go

Would you still be stuck with it by the time your engine has over 300,000 miles on it? Cos I'm sure the manual would still be saying 5w20 by then

If the engine is made to run up to & above 300,000 miles, then it is made to do so on it's manufacturer recommended 5w20.
