Hi all,

I am new to this thread but I believe I will be able to get some vital information from you all.

I will be attending a fully paid course in Norway in June and am in the process of applying for a visa. I however have a few concerns
1. The authority inviting me is arranging basic insurance for me form over there (a group insurance). DO I STILL NEED TO GET INSURANCE FROM HERE?
2. My return ticket will also be paid for. MUST I PUT A PAID TICKET OR CAN I USE A DUMMY PENDING VISA ISSUANCE?

I look forward to hearing from y'all.

Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by Nobody: 12:56pm On Apr 09, 2015
I am interested in doing a msc in hydropower management and i emailed them. I have 2.80 and the cordinator sd I am qualified with my grades and courses taken. I also also asked about the english language requirement and here is his response

Dear Mr xxxxxxxx,

According to the language requirements (https://www.ntnu.edu/studies/langcourses/languagerequirements), it seems that you are eligible for an exemption from the language documentation requirements.

Best regards,

Hanne

With this, is it advisable to ignore the english language exam?

Thanks

Yes I believe you are. As a Nigerian, as long as you passed english in your SSCE, you do not require any other evidence of English language. Except you ve got extra funds and you think including an IELTS result with improve your chances.

It depends on your bank but should not take more than 3days.
Be a bit patient, you would be notified soonest.

I am glad, many in this thread got their admission letter.

For those that hasn't, be a bit patient. However, if the date scheduled for response has passed by more than one week, try to contact admin office by email.

Keep it simple and short, that you would like to know the outcome if possible to start the money transfer process. Then wait for their reply. I know. Someone that did this and at end it came out positive even after being rejected last year. However, everyone has a special and unique style or luck.

Good luck, I keep praying for you guys.

Hello all, especially those that knows much about if there is anything that can b done.
I got a mail from one of d schools I applied to that my application was rejected because they have a lot of people that qualified for the program I applied for. But still said I can appeal their decision.
I don't even know on what grand I can appeal or if there is anything I can do about this.
Is there anything I can do please?
Re: Nigerians In Oslo, Norway by monica90: 9:19am On Apr 15, 2015
Hi inxyz, thank you so much for yoir encouragement.
Don't know why UIO keeps changing the date to release results.
first was last friday, and then today and now tomorrow...i mean don't they know that someone like me is anxiously waiting for the good news?
Or is it that everyone that applied are qualified for the degrees and it's hard for them to pick(...beats me though).

I'll keep you updated when they finally agree on something...

@stewiepeter...can you pls send your email add or anyother means of communicating with you privately?
would really appreciate that as there are questions i would like to ask.

Thanks!
