Is the man confirming that Lagos is no man's land?
They like the Federal government concentrating Nigeria's resources on Lagos but complain when the place is called no man's land.
You can't have it all.

What is the population of London -- 8million

What is the population of Paris -- 2.3million

What is the population of Amsterdam -- less than 1million

What is the population of Dubai -- 2.1million

What is.the population of Lagos -- almost 20million.

It is obvious that if you leave, Lagos will only be better for it.
grin

Your very funny
Comparing lagos to those places !

Those cities are world class cites with a very rich history; wt can u say for lagos?

All I know is if the persons leave; the hustle and bustle will fade away; lagos is a commercial city .

What's the population of new york; Tokyo, "hong kong," "Bangkok" etc

And I don't live in lagos, !! I never have !

Can someone please tell this bastard to shut up.

I live in Ipaja and its nothing to write about, compared to other parts of Lagos.

He's just there for his pocket.... Then all states should request for a ministry na!

Buffoon, bunch of un-learned idiots.

You said if you leave Lagos will decline and I showed cities with lesser populations that are not declining.

So Igbos argument on that premise, holds no water. In fact, the city will be saner and more alluring to would-be foreign investors.

Yes Bangkok, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Rio De Janeiro are densely populated like Lagos. Does not mean if the population is trimmed, those cities will lose their verve.

Now as a result we have a moderately developed lagos and overly developed Abuja and completely undeveloped states everywhere else.
Abuja is anything but overly developed, whatever that means.

Can't say 4 those cities but u and I know; that lagos will loose its verve. Her IGR will drop; seaports and airports will loose plenty of traffic.
That's just it!
How I wish lagos could be depopulated ; so most persons will go bk home and develop their states; but that's not possible.

Not just igbos, lagos is a melting point for Nigerians.

I aint igbo tho.

Ministry of Lagos Affair for what"? What's the role of the governor of Lagos State thenhuh Then why don't we have ministry of each state affairs!?? This request is unnecessary and only puts extra burden (too many baggage on federal government and existing system)

Correct. I would also propose a revenue sharing formula in which the FG takes 70%, whilst the state takes home 30% of the revenue generated at the Apapa and Tincan Island ports. The extra funds would help the state too.
If this should be the case, then the FG must end the Lagos port monopoly, by spending to upgrade the ports in other parts of the country, to ensure every one benefits from this 70-30 sharing formula and the economic opportunities that come with it.

We don't even need any federal government spending on the ports. Delta, Rivers, and Cross rivers have enough revenue to maintain the ports in their location. We just need the federal government to hand over this facilities to the states. Let's see whose ports are still functional in 4 years.
Re: Buhari’s Government Should Create Ministry Of Lagos Affairs – Legislator by Fellonigerians: 5:58pm On Apr 21, 2015
Not necessary. The Federal Government should just practice true federalism which will enable Lagos benefit directly from the federal structures existing in the state, e.g., the ports, etc... With that the state will still get the money that would have been allocated to the Ministry... Federal beaurocrary is the worst, so creating another Ministry will be creating another avenue for corruption....

I think ministry of Kano or even Jigawa affairs will be more appropriate.

Not possible, what happens to states that doesn't have ports and other federal projects to benefit from?

Those states are free to ask for whatever they can get from the federal government. My region seeks to reduce the presence of the federal government.
