My Sweet Future Wife I have no bit an idea what you look like. I have no idea if you’re Lekpacious; so I can lift you off your feet every time we meet or Orobokiobo; so generously endowed I cannot love all of you enough, Goliath-like? I might have to look up in my search for you or are you Zaccheaus-like so that I may have to look down in my search for you. Hey, you may have eyes that are as black as the night, or as brown as the earth, or as fiery like the tiger's, honestly I don't know. Are you Catholic, Anglican, Muslim, Pentecostal? I don't know and really do not care. As of right now, I know nothing about you other than the fact you’re going to make me sit among the most fulfilled men in the world. Wow, and we haven’t met yet. I may have already seen you before, but right now I would have no idea it is you. I may have seen you before or bump into you in an about town, every now and then and I still would have no idea that it is you. As I see you now compared to seeing you when I realize that you are the one will be like seeing two completely separate images. When the day comes that I really see you, it will change a lot of me. Even if we know each other now, I don’t know you as the woman I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. So, in that respect, we haven’t met yet. You could be the braid-wearing, dark-skinned beauty that always seem to catch my eye. You could be the short-haired, light-skinned lady that I always seem to actually date. How can I tell any different right now? (Shrugs) We haven’t met yet. Are you Igbo, Efik, Yoruba, Hausa, Igala, Ijaw, Ibibio, Isoko… you could come from any of the three hundred tribes of Nigeria. Hmmm, as if I care where you come from. I am Igbo, but I am the one whose heart and head will chose, not my dad, mom, brothers, sisters, aunts or uncles for a wife. But rest assured, my family will adore you. I will want you to meet them and they will want to meet you. They will love you just as much as I do and will protect you from me if ever comes a day I become mad enough to try to harm you; but I know that day will never come. You might not know how to make those dishes my mom made for me, you could also be the most awkward human being in the kitchen, but you will look so cute trying to find your way to my heart through my stomach. I know so. Have no fear, whatever you make in the kitchen will be eaten with relish, licking of fingers (and toes if you make it taste better than my mama’s) smacking of lips and lots of sweating from my Gorimapka head. Wow! What a wonderful mother you will make. I will try as manly and as humanly as I can to be a wonderful father. We will be wonderful parents as much as we will be a wonderful couple. We will be each other’s teammates through the labour of love of parenthood and we will get through it. We will worry on their first day at school; we will cheer them at inter-house sporting events; we will study with them; we will watch them grow and give them a better life than we had, even if the ones we had were pretty good. I will never have to worry about you meeting someone else because I know you’ll want only me. You will never have to worry about me meeting someone else because you’ll know I only want you. I don’t know when I’m going to meet you, but If it is on my birthday, 20th September, I would have waited 40 years, You are worth every moment of the wait and if I don’t meet you until years from now, I will continue to go through every day waiting for it to be the one when I meet you. I would want to marry you for the companionship we would share, every other blessing like kids are secondary to me. And one other reason I would wait long enough just to meet you is that I am scared shit of divorce. I would not want to be the wrong man for you. Oops! Sorry for my bad manners, my name is Romeo, I would wish for your name to be Juliet. But even if it is not your name, then simply BE MY JULIET. You’re out there; you’re worth the wait; and you’re probably looking for me too. I am here for you. Love, Your Sweet Future Husband |

rokiatu:You think the fact that they post the same shït over and over again get on your nerves? Well, you have got no idea how the fact that this kind of recycled shït will get to the front page gets on mine. In fact, it gets on the back of my nerves, and rides it like a rodeo. ![]() |
