I am a Niger Deltan from an oil producing region of Delta state, but truth at the moment is that our oil serves to feed the entire Nigeria. This is a fact at the moment. If yorubas can benefit from the oil in the Niger Delta, that means any other tribe can benefit from the land in any the yoruba states too.

If yorubas want igbos to leave Lagos, which obviously includes all other tribes in the Niger Delta (because to the yoruba man, every non hausa and non yoruba is an igbo man) then they should not be allowed to benefit from any federal allocation derived from oil. Let's see how states like Ekiti, Oyo, Osun, and Ogun will survive.
So quick to forget that b4 we started practicing unitary system as we have it now,the western region comprising of all those mentioned states, and devoid of oil, was the leading region in Nigeria.
For avoidance of doubt:
1st television station in Africa
1st stadium in Africa
First university in Nigeria
Tallest Building (cocoa house) in sub-saharan Africa
Free Education
Free health
And lots more.......
So recalling this means this post of yours wasn't well thought out.

see dz mumu u re saying proudly Ondo, so if ppl re arguing stuffs even Ondo wud be talking, dat useless state dats made up of stones and bush, is dat wat sm1 wants to drag with u?
It was hard for me coming to a decision to reply your post, cos obviously you haven't traveled past your mom's kitchen.
Besides Ondo state producing Crude Oil,
Ondo State houses the second largest deposit of Bitumen in the world.
When it comes to education, ondo state boasts of more professors than any other non-south/western state.
Development-wise,plssss if you are not from Rivers or Akwa ibom, then don't repeat such.

All you posted here benefited those in your region mostly.
On the contrary Oil benefits the entire Nigeria.

There's no need for us to be claiming who owns this and who owns that.....we all own Nigeria...she is mother to us all...if problem comes, we will all get up and put aside our differences to fight for our country.

nice reply but don't be deceived, tho o states can survive on taxes from agric and services(teachers, artisans transporters)
its just that oil money has spoilt our leaders who refuse to think
let oil become irrelevant today and they will be forced to arrange themselves
if singapore and israel could do it anybody can
its the will that is lacking

Hate is stressful; love is ease and happiness!

What will you choose? There's so much hate out there in the world; I need not add to the dosage!

I'm a man of ideals, and love is the platform for all my other ideals.

We all bear Nigeria, benefit from Nigeria,& intrinsically love Nigeria.
Just clearing the doubt that one part of the south west will suffer.
