Anambra State Governor, Mr Willie Obiano, on Tuesday said the recent in- road and victories recorded by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) during the general elections has positioned it as the next opposition party in Nigeria.

Mr Obiano made the statement when House of Representatives members-elect from the state and Taraba State paid him a courtesy call at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia.

Introducing the winning members to the governor, the National Chairman of APGA, Victor Umeh, also announced the victory of APGA House of Assembly candidates in Taraba and Bayelsa states.

The National Chairman of APGA introduced the members-elect to the governor, beginning with the candidate from Taraba State, Mr. Isaac Usman Danjuma, who won Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency.

Also receiving congratulations from the Governor were Gabriel Onyenwife and Peter Mmadubueze, members elect from Oyi/Ayamelum and Anambra East and West Federal Constituencies respectively.

While the National Chairman assured the governor of victory in the upcoming Abia State supplementary election next Saturday, the governor declared APGA as the next opposition political party in Nigeria.

The members elect, however, made reassuring speeches of ensuring good representation to the people when sittings begin.

Unless PDP, APGA, LP and others merge, they don't stand a chance against APC. I just dey laugh at PDP. If APGA detach themselves from the tattered umbrella and organize themselves, they can do without PDP.

If APGA thinks it can easily win any national position as it is now then they must be *in Obiahiagbon's lingo* suffering from a disease of terminus aqua in our kakistomoboplutocracy. They should first take over the south east before extending their borders.

The people above me here are very heartless dishing out po** just to intentionally deny me my rightful FTC. If una try it again i will trek from my village to all the 36 states and FCT to register my anger. And i will do it!!!

That is if defection is overruled in the Nigerian political system because i bet you before the quarter of buhari's Tenure runs off almost half of them might have changed to either broom or Umbrella party

I remember saying APGA will be the next biggest opposition political party.

Obiano must first clean his state of the hawks from PDP who have robbed APGA of their victory.
Next is Abia State.

This party continue to portray the possibility of PDP going into extinction. Reason is, if PDP must come back strong they will have to merge with this party, and that would mean changing name entirely. Lobatan! That's how u won't hear of PDP anymore.
