Not sure what cave you crawled out of, but ''in today's world'', a huge population allied to rapid economic expansion, such as exemplifies Nigeria, IS a determining factor when assessing a nation's calibre in the comity of nations. Whether Nigeria was a British or Martian colony, it matters zero. The USA was once a British colony too.

''According to the US Department of Agriculture, Nigeria is poised to become Africa’s first trillion dollar economy by 2030''.

Thats if the oil does not dry up, since you still depend on it, 90% of government revenue is from oil. You wont achieve that with poor infrastructure, where are you gonna get money to build infrastructure when oil revenue for 2014/15 has dropped by 50% and te growth for 2015 is projected to be 4.5%. Things are tough out there.

The South Africans that died in Nigeria were not stabbed or burnt alive, they died due to an act of nature even though we have to admit there were human negligence.

South Africans should just stop killing people becos they don't like their faces, nobody does that, this is 2015.
This is the same SA that was supported by all Africans during their difficult period, they now know that some people are foreigners......You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

Bros the oil is never going to dry up soon, because more oil Wells are being discovered and we still have a lot of shut ins.

Moreover, we have abundant untapped solid minerals and agricultural potentials.

So your prayers will not be answered.

This actions should be extended to riff raff countries like Benin Republic ,who survives on our daily trades in their country, but treats Nigerians like sh.it .Can you imagine their immigration officers, forcefully demanding N500 to N1000 to stamp entry and exit on our Passports at Seme border? And if you refuse, your passports are thrown at you.....Meanwhile travellers without passport stroll into Benin without passports after paying almost nothing to the immigration ,only ID is a National identification card,,just for the police to wait for them inside cotonou town to whisk them away and obtain like N5000 each from them as bail money for not having passports.

This is just the beginning. The Nigerian government should bring back all willing Nigerians home and deport all South Africans in Nigeria. Let's see how those fools will still compete with their Diaspora brothers for jobs, etc.

Nigerians who decide to stay should be videoed signing an undertaking to that effect, to absolve the govt if anything happens to them there later.

South Africa is a country I once loved so much.

Why have they allowed barbarism spoil the image of that country

Why Jacob Zuma Why Zulu king Why Why!

Even if the current xenophobia stops, I doubt people would still have confidence in that country again.
