What Buhari should be "revisiting" after being sworn in are: the confab report, the need for fiscal federalism, non-oil revenue generation, power generation, PIB, refineries, prevention of corruption and job creation. He shouldn't waste his time chasing the past. He would end up chasing ghosts.

The solution has just been listed, nigerians cannot wait and waste more year on probing the past. There has never been a sucessful probe in this country, Buhari should implement all the aforementioned above - voila that will make a new Nigeria.

as for the list, most of the cases listed there were mere accusations against jonathan's govt by apc without any form of evidence.

I beg to disagree. There are quite some of those cases that need to be revisited. It's time Nigeria made it clear to would-be looters that there are consequences for their actions.

The suggestion you have submitted here is the same way we have acted for many years and the reason we are where we are.

Op, I think your report is biased and one sided. Aside the Abacha loot that you, every other alleged scams that you listed are targeted at the present/outgoing government, whereas there are more notorious scams that has occurred before and during our democratic era. And to confirm that is you not pointing out several scams during the president Obasanjo led administration. Or where there no single case of an alleged scam then? And why have you chose to name the subsidy removal as a scam meanwhile it's benefits are still being yielded by Nigerians. Yes there have been alleged corrupt practices in some of our institutions in this present government, but then, what you listed there are mostly allegations that have not been proven yet.
And I believe the incoming government will make efforts to probe the matters and lay them to rest. Anyway, I don't want to debate scams in this country now. But I'm just saying my opinion about your report. You can do a better research on the topic and see for yourself.
NB, I'm a core buharist. grin
Justifying wrong because it happened in the past? Those scams of the past should have been investigated by Jonathan's government. He had the right to do that. I'm happy with the OP's reminder of these big 12. You can bring out more and us , as pressure group will force the incoming government to act. We voted them in to combat corruption stating from last government.

To me the list of top corruption cases in Nigeria is endless embarassed
It cuts across all cadres in the federation.
It'll take collective efforts of well meaning Nigerians to shun and stop corrupt practices.
The in-coming president cannot do it alone.

God bless Nigeria as we all SAY NO to corrupt practices. smiley

And this happened in just 4 years, imagine what would have happened in
another 4 years of GEJ administration after which it would have seem Nigerians are ok with looting cases.

The people's general has been duly briefed. GEJ and his team are aware hence the May 28 handover date proposal.

Their Nigerian passports will be suspended and confisticated immediately making them stateless and unable to travel. Arrests will be made - SENDING A GREAT MESSAGE TO LOOTERS ACROSS THE NATION. Immunity clause removal bill will be sent to the national assembly which will raise the stake for incumbent governors.

That is your first 100 days of Buhari. grin grin grin grin grin grin

No, corruption = Nigeria. You can't separate them. About 99% nigerians are corrupt. But we love to cover ours and shout at others. This itself is corruption!

Do we not think that this is a bad example set for our generation and the upcoming one? We severely punish those who steal to have a meal so they can see the next day, but we overlook those who have raped the nations wealth...wealth belonging to each and everyone of us.
If we do not develope a means of making our leaders accountable for the financial fraud they carried out how do we then set a standard? Most of these men would have been killed within two weeks in countries like China or jailed for a very long time in places like U.S.
So friends, it is not about chasing ghosts but about setting standards. If hell deters us from sin, then the law should deter us from corruption.
Or do you think I will not like to have billions? Though I prefer mine legally gotten and approved by heaven.
