Awka— Igbo youths, under the aegis of Nation of Ndigbo Youth Forum, NNYF, has said former governor of Abia State and a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, was eminently qualified and deserved to be the next Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.
According to the youths, Dr. Onu’s unalloyed loyalty to President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, further placed him in a vantage position to be appointed.
Addressing reporters in Awka, national president of the group, Comrade Ndubuisi Ani, described Onu as a consistent politician.
‘’One of such politicians is Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, a principled, disciplined gentleman. His name readily comes to mind should the position of SGF be zoned to the South East by the APC.
‘’We have watched with keen interest the unfolding events and wish to humbly believe that appointing Dr. Onu as the SGF will be a deserved appointment.”
He urged General Buhari to carry everybody along, especially when it was realized that there were people in the South East who campaigned vigorously and voted for APC and its candidates.

I doubt it if feelers coming from the Inner caucus of APC is anything to go by

It was alleged that Amaechi is highly temperamental and might constitute himself into a Lord of The Manor in the Presidency

As at today Ogbonnaya Onu/Chris Nwabueze Ngige are in pole position while John Oyegun is under consideration depending on how the position sharing in the National Assembly goes

Infact if Amaechi wants 2 Ministerial appointments for himself alone......Baba wont mind giving him but Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Government of the Federation is a NO NO for Amaechi

If Ndigbo dont have people inside the kitchen where the food is being baked,how would infrastructural development be canvassed during Budgetary and Capital allocation of resources

Hatred for APC and Buhari have made some of you to lose your rational thinking mindset

The same mistake was what made Jonathan to lose his re-election when he tactically marginalised the 2nd most populous zone( SW) in terms of development and postings

When some of you hear that people like Tinubu wants to have people in strategic places inside Government,it is for the purpose of having people who can speak and influence decision-making for the zone he represents amongst other things

The post of the SGF is a very powerful post which carries a lot of weight and influence.........so if out of hatred you tell the Igbos not to partake in this Government and then after 4years you start your perennial lamentation of 'dem hate us' who would you blame?

There were yoruba ministers in GEJs government and there will be igbo ministers in Buhari's government too. So whats the point?

Once again, political appointments don't bring infrastructure development. Anyim was SGF for four good years and he didn't influence any project to Abia state.
