Well written and straight to the points.

If AIT chose to be unethical, irresponsible and unprofessional in airing deceitful and defamatory documentary that is full of lies about the amiable General, common sense should dictate that they lack moral right/privilege to even go near him without first sorting out the issue (minimum is to apologize to GMB).

Like you said, hypocrisy of many Nigerians smell to high heavens.

NgeneUkwenu, welcome back.

The APC having seen the foolishness of that act has chosen to correct this anomaly by clearly stating AIT among others is free to air Buhari official functions . . . .

Mr.Eziachi, please read through this write up again or better still get someone to read it out for you.
you will surely realize how 'senseless' it sounds.
Its the other way round. You failed to comprehend what you read.

He said is yet to be sworn in as the president of Nigeria. Jonathan is still the president. So learn how to read and comprehend

Absolute Bullshyte from Eziachi. This is what you see when people are overtly sentimental of APC. The visit to be covered wasn't a private meeting. if it was other media houses will not be there. beside buhari is presently occupying a state house, defence house. he is not occupying there because he is buhari. No. he is the president elect.

The sentiment of the writeup is obvious. Why is he not rejecting the army. After all , they claimed they don't have his certificate.

All those who think buhari will close down AIT are simpletons. He wouldn't love such ride if he decide to attempt.

It's on the surface. What you're seeing is the nimbleness of APC's crisis management team. They'll lull AIT into letting their guards down only to be rejected like a leper. AIT will be lucky if they're able to stay afloat.

Your sentiments and desires are very far from reality . . . .the APC did well in patching up the childish antics of Buhari, and I say a big kudos to them . . . .

AIT will stay afloat and any deliberate attempt to run them down will backfire . . . . . They better thread with caution while they seek to settle scores . . . .

Can you state the law that has suddenly deprived him of his right to privacy? He doesn't lose his right to privacy simply because you say so.
If you look at my post again, you would note I did not claim that buhari has lost his privacy entirely , what I claimed was that there are limits to what he can call private.
Re: Eziachi Writes: Buhari V Ait & Press Freedom by naptu2: 2:56pm On Apr 29, 2015
Can anyone cite for me any section of the constitution that exempts government owned residences?

For example, I'm a civil servant and I live in a government owned building, what law allows a stranger to invade my residence and listen in on private discussions that I'm having with my guests. Can anyone cite the law that permits this?

AIT is on its way down already, with dwindling viewership and the impending possible zero patronage hanging on their head. APC realized this and is quick to douse any conflict with it that may offer it some relevance. APC is only protecting its honour – not to be seen beating a man who's already biting the dust.

Lolz . . . You can only wish so, AIT still has potential millions of viewers if they dish out the right undiluted content for or against the incoming admin . . . .
Re: Eziachi Writes: Buhari V Ait & Press Freedom by Goke7: 3:18pm On Apr 29, 2015
TVC just need to come on dstv which they will get the approval once APC gets into aso rock [the pdp govt had denied TVC coming on dstv for political reasons] mark my words, it will take a miracle for AIT to survive as Government is the biggest client of all Private companies in NIgeria,

unless Dokpesi decamps to APC [which I suspect he will despite all his gragra] I don't know how AIT will survive o

Only those who are unreasonable will think otherwise cos the Nigerian economy is in big shit right now for any private company to survive without Govt patronage simple.

Bros...how far?

AIT will find it very difficult to survive without government patronage....it's a business built largely on a business template that cannot survive without govt funds......the owner is a government contractor.....what makes matter worse for him is that even his home-state of Edo will not forgive the role he played in the state in the last elections.

Now...starve of government lifeline and dwindling income from advertisements....I so much doubt if AIT will be able to meet it liabilities in 6-8 months time.

The issues here is not rocket science...this is Nigeria we are discussing.

As a president-elect, all matters of privacy dissolves . . . . He wasn't meeting those dignitaries and ambassadors as just GMB, he was meeting them as the President-elect which goes beyond his private matters but dwelling on issues of National concern . . . . . .

I guess we might need to define the term "Presidential Status" as referenced in the article below . . . .

Vanguard gathered that the House was built by the regime of the former Military president, Ibrahim Babangida. The residence is also called “Safe House” and can only be accessed by Nigerians with presidential status.

As far as the constitution goes.......Buhari is still very much a private citizen......or you need to tell me the part of the constitution that recognizes the office of the President-elect

Well your doubt are in order but it can't be categorical as Malcomx will like us to believe. if Dopkesi is smart, the slush of cash he made during this electioneering period should help him weather the storm a bit.

He now has to device means to survive the impending diplomatic onslaught of the incoming admin.

The ball is in his court. . . . .

Deliberate u said..................i dont think so. Already, the fraud of an empire owned by Dokpesi is naturally dying gradually. Despite having serious patronage from the govt, she still owe her workers months of salaries and allowances arrears. TV contents depreciating, and better competition continuously coming up. The next govt need not sweat over them, signs of a bleak future are already there.

For disciplined business people in Nigeria today..things are tight enough already.....how much more for a rogue in the business of television that mainly derives it revenue from the patronage of those in power.

He will need to learn how to go and sort his issues out with those people coming to power ..through their mutual friends in the North and SW, if he fails to do that, his empire will crumble in his eyes.

APC in their wisdom thought otherwise and they have rightly overridden Buhari blunder on these . . . . . dwelling on constitutional provision might give you victory in court, but other than the court, there are other factors in play.

He moved into the defense house by virtue of his current status as the president-elect which is a presidential status in it's own.

It's like saying our politicians are not corrupt since by constitutional provisions they are innocent since they haven't been found guilty by any court. Yes, they might enjoy that constitutional victory but it ends there. The electorates will use another yardstick to measure and gauge them and that goes a long way.

APC was wise in sensing serious dissent along the way and nipping it in the bud immediately, it's too early to start grappling with this garbage.

What has Dokpesi been doing all along when even the like of arthur eze, obiano even ndigbo sef went to visit Buhari to congratulate him, he would have made his job easier and saved AIT from embarrasment had he congratulated and visit Buhari before now. His so called supporters of Press Freedom won't be able to bail him out completely when reality sets in o.

Anyway, i won't be surprised if he decamps to APC in a few months time, he also came to pdp from somewhere too.

Remember the October 1 bombing, his name was part of those early suspects. Suddenly, we were told he had no case grin grin

Nigeria is bigger than Lagos, and you shouldn't dare try to compare unequal components like that . . . . . All eyes are fixated on the center and any move will court an amplified reaction from the populace.

There are certain things you can get away with at the state level but not in Abuja . . . . .

Give it to those guys in APC ......they have some of the best political strategists in the country in that party. The way they quickly doused the tension before PDP could come up with their own stand was nothing short of excellence.
