On several occations,have read post of incident of deaths and the proceeding comments...can't help but laughs.
Now let put this issues straight for the the benefits of unborn generation.
Have read post of a woman who cuts his cheating husband into pieces,armed robbers who met their waterloo, recently,kipnappers that were shot dead and many more,at the end of posting:comments starts pouring in..RIP even for people who have no regards for their Maker..Is there peace for the wicked?(Isaiah 57:27) Or talking of roasting in perdition?(luke:16:19-31)
Quite important,a person who dies without obeying his Maker has no rest of any sort.(john:3:18)
Even the bible teaches that at death,the souls of believers immediately passes unto glory,while those that rejects their Maker goes into eternal torments of hell.
So note the lost does not benefit from your sympathetic lips service called prayers!
They only needs that prayers while alife.

Correct. Though, I'm not a preaching evangelist like the OP; I've always found it hard to write RIP for the dead as it could just be a wishful desire.

OP. Unfortunately, what you wish for will never happen. Nigerians, apart from being steeped in tradition, are hypocrites who think that saying RIP is a way of showing their love for the departed.
