It just that this forum consist more of children especially from the side of the apc. The other day many apc children were suggesting that Fashola should be either be given the ministry of finance or petroleum. Buhari has not been sworn in, but has started complainling. Is there any Nigerian who does not know the functions of empty vessels abi drum? Buhar's second name na 'Chief of excuse''. Na only small children go believe this so call incoming government. Their disapointment and failure will be unbearable.

This president elect should not take Nigeria for granted.
He said we should not expect miracle when he assume office.
in his campaign he said that subsidy payment is a fraud.
He said he will going to make naira equal to dollar,( that is OPEC matter).
He bar AIT and now he is saying that he is not aware of it.
Again falling oil price will affect my agenda.
Tomorrow this and that.
Nigeria was moving forward but now is will going to hit rock.
Before APC will pay all their debts and stabilize, it will take another 3 to 4 years.
Eyes will see,
Ear will hear,
Nose will perceive,
Hand will feel,
Leg will move in this so called CHANGE Government.

APC led government at their least capacity is far better than whatever PDP government has to offer. As a party that has acted as an opposition for almost 3 decades, I'm dead sure that they can't afford to underperform with this opportunity they just got.
Buhari might open your eyes to the real problems facing his mission, but he us not going to underperform. You can hate and comment mindlessly as you want. But in 4 years time, you guys will definitely hide your face in shame.
I believe this man knows what he is talking about unlike the clueless slowpoke from Otuoke who doesn't see stealing as corruption. Who doesn't believe corruption is a menace to our economy and development.
There is room for pessimsm and cynism but whatever u wish for this new dispensation is what will definitely befall you.

APC acting as opposition for almost 3 decades? shocked shocked shocked
What are you smoking man?

In as much as I believe in the integrity of the general, I. don't want to believe he is giving us excuses for a case of non-performance.

I think he is saying it so that nobody sees him as God as many have been made to believe.

They built that belief in the minds of people in the first place. He did sail nonchalantly on that belief to win the election.

GMB never said he is going back on any promises, but stated common sense which is that plans made with 2 naira in mind will be more challenging to achieve when at the end of the day, you earn only 1 naira through no fault of yours.

Hopefully when our stolen $20b is returned by GEJ and his cronies among other funds, even more can be done by the General to rebuild Nigeria after 16 years in PDP's wilderness.

With just $20b? and am sure that's not the only money in the country's treasury

When he was asked how he would manage the economy considering the falling oil prices during the campaign, he said that fighting corruption will make enough money available. Why is he changing the goal post? Is it that his premises does not hold water or that corruption was blown out of proportion or the general is real afraid of the challenges he promised to tackle?

It is disheartening the way people comment here without reading in between lines, it shows how the level of our education has really fallen. How can you give correct answers without reading the question paper. My dear nairalanders read before commenting. Some people comments are totally out of point.

It's good to be objective. When Mrs Okonjo-Iwuala made statements along this line about the economy, she was abused and reducibled by your like minds.
Don't spin this to look good/right.
I'm not spinning this bro (not even making excuse for GMB), just saying we should address the issues the way they are.

There is no place in that article that he said his agenda was threatened. He simply highlighted Challenges, something every corporate leader (whether in private business or public service) does. You need to be objective about the challenges, so you come up with the right strategies to tackle them.

How do you know Buhari is a scam president? He hasn't been sworn in yet. It's one thing to have little confidence in his abilities to lead (just like I do) and it another to outrightly call him a scam.

Don't be an Internet noisemaker, when was any past leader in this country "stoned"? Stop making empty threats.

GMB was addressing NASS members during their induction course, where he mentioned 8 challenges that his administration will face on assumption of office. These include Falling oil prices, Insecurity, Youth Unemployment, Power, De-industrialization, Environmental Pollution in ND, Rebuilding of ravaged NE, etc.

Typically, though, the media has singled out Falling Oil Price so as to create a sensational headline. Baba is not making any excuses, he was simply being pragmatic and calling on the Legislature to join/support the Executive as developmental partners to tackle these 8 challenges.

Stop commenting based on headlines, please always read the body of the article.

THAT YOUR ANALYSIS DOES NOT HOLD WATER. HE MADE HIS PROMISES WITH CURRENT OIL PRICE AND OIL PRICE HAS NOT FALL SINCE HE MADE HIS PROMISES. YOU MUST REMEMBER THAT HE MADE HIS PROMISES WHEN OIL PRICE WAS $50 THAT WAS WHY HE SAID HE WILL STABILZE WORLD OIL PRICE. WE DONT NEED EXCUSS.

Oil price was falling when you were making those promises during your campaign. And you promised to fix oil price.

Quit the excuses and get on with the program, semi-literate!

A proactive govt will look beyond oil. Don't we have uranium, coal, bitumen, opiom, cocoa, groundnut, etc. Can't we develop these other mineral resources and agriculture so we can have other sources of income, must we totally depend on crude oil? We have GAS which is more or less underused.

No matter what you say i can assure you 80% of these halfwits will still not read anything, they only look at headlines (which are made up by News medias to get more views).

Anyway, that really doesnt bother anyone. Its not like they support GMB, they just are actually the ones looking for excuses to criticize him and yet all their criticism is absolutely stupid especially because he hasn't even took over yet.

In my wisdom I have ordered for a special cane from Lebanon. A cane gotten from one of the cedars of Lebanon and customised for Buhari. It will arrive on the 28th of May, 2015. I'm hoping to put it to use in the first week of June to deliver the old, illiterate general from madness!
