Chinom:Good point, however don't forget the appropriation act is a bill like any other and the NA CAN pass any bill with a 2/3 majority. I agree ultimately Buhari could make them back down, if he goes to the court of public opinion (Like Obama and Clinton did to the Republican congress) but I doubt he would have the political skill to do it. |

ideykwum:In as much i like your support for Bruce comments, i take exceptions on the new found advisers. They re complaining about the economic reality and the need to tight our belts, i don't have any objection to that but they re in this country (Ben) when Jonathan was wasting Nigeria resources meant for common man, I have never seen or read Ben bruce come hard on Jonathan for buying more Jets and high level of corruption in his administration, working and hoping for Jonathan to be re elected until he was rejected at the poll. Would Ben Bruce say the same thing if Jonathan was re elected? NO, it will be business as usual. |

With all what thid bruce man said up there he has dealt jeg a great nasty blow. From his speech he was able to point out most of the failings of the out going admistration. He said he holds gej in high esteem but i wonder why he couldnt tell him the bitter truth about his admistration and peoples peception. I guess he joined in the praise singing to grab the bayelsa senatorial seat. Murray bruce should just keep quiet and play a progressive progressive part in the red chamber. The pples general already stated most of the things he listed. He talks about the general not discarding off the good works of gej but kept mum on the apc transition terms of refernce which favoured continuity. The out going govt has tagged that move "setting up a parallel govt". Murray bruce should keep his english till he becomes a senator. I believe the gemeral is prepared for the tsk ahead. Offenders must be purnished to serve as deterant not some Mao style solution. Thx and God bless. |

By asking Buhari to do away with Jonathan's wasteful spendings and poor governance which have taken a heavy toll on Nigeria, Ben Bruce is indirectly indicting Jonathan whom he claims to be loyal to! By the way, did he give this advice to Jonathan? If he did and no change occurred, why is he still loyal to Jonathan? Bruce should keep his self serving advice to himself and rather, explain how he ran NTA and established Silverbird TV and Radio stations |

Hypocrite, what did you do to advice GEJ in his time if you are really loyal and faithful to him as you claim. Probably what you were benefiting from him beffudles your sense of reasoning and judgement. GMB doesn't need your advice, he has competent hands already. |

1. He promised to work with the man Nigerians just elected based on his duty as a Nigerian while at the same time pledging loyalty and allegiance to the man the same Nigerians just rejected and drove out of office for good reasons. Where is the sense and wisdom in that kind of thoughtless, ambiguous, bogus and absent minded talk? 2. How do you pledge loyalty and allegiance to the most crooked, corrupt and incompetent president in the history of this country? Shows how crooked, personally and mentally bankrupt he is... 3. GMB is yet to pick his official team, advisers, ministers, ambassadors, directors and so on, but this thoughtless man who just in the same breath questioned a still non existing government and not yet named team members, while in another pandering and pledging loyalty and allegiance to the man Nigerians just rejected and chased out of office. 4. He's reminding the elected president that Nigerians voted for him and not his party as if the elected president doesn't know this already. Besides, the elected president knows a whole lot about governing that this clueless man who was just voted in to work with the elected president but instead pledge loyalty and allegiance to another man, a man the Nigerian people doesn't want. Shouldn't your loyalty and allegiance rest with the people of Nigeria and the man the people of Nigeria pinned their hopes, desires and future on? We hope and pray the elected president is our moses, but if not, we all have our PVCs to use against him 4 years from now so he should just shut his mouth and render whatever assistance he can to the elected president on behalf of his constituents and the people of Nigeria instead of the crooked, corrupt and incompetent man he's romancing and idolizing. His rubbish is nothing but thoughtless, lame and disingenuous nonsense. |

I can see the hatred in run in the blood of Bruce.. A big thief that used our money to financed his own private media houses when he was GM at NTA now come to open his rotten mouth to advised or critisized GMB because his brother of another mother lost at the presidential poll.Let me tell you Bruce, your critisisms is of no use, keep it to yourself and stop looking for a cheap popularity here. Being a senator- elect in your constituency does not make you known here. |

Sconty09:The problem with some of you Nigerians is you don't bother to crosscheck facts before opening your mouth. Even here on nairaland, there is an article where Bruce chastised the GEJ govt for spending $8 billion on fuel imports. |
