Not everyone dresses or applies body enhancing features to impress an opposite sex. People just want to look good for themselves and not necessarily to create a positive impression to anyone.

Most guys who kicks against make up are just being untruthful to themselves. They are most often than not still attracted and find girls with cute make ups more appealing than those without. Admit it or not that's a fact.

Well, whether it's insecurity or not doesn't negate the need or importance of someone wanting to feel good about their skin and body. It's their body and they have every right to do with it whatever they want and anyone who doesn't like it have a choice to ignore.

I may want to cross the road now to buy an airtime but I'm currently wearing a boxers on. On realizing that going out with the boxers might not feel good I may want to put on a trouser. I may have grown unkept bears and want to attend an event suddenly, if I can't have a hair cut in a shortest of time I may consider boycotting the event. Whether it's insecurity or not doesn't dismiss the need to look good. If things like this are insecurity then I can say without fear of contradiction that every human is guilty of it at a point in their lives.
