EUROBOMBER:Actually, they(SS & SE) looked on in 2010 when Yorubas confronted the north and ensured GEJ emerged acting President. That gave him the leverage to go further in 2011... |

EUROBOMBER:In your previous comment, you lamented how the North dominates the political scene, yet in your permutation above, you'd be quite happy to wait for the same North to partner with your region to reinforce their dominance than for you to end that dominance by working with the SW? ![]() You get sense o. |
| Re: Yerima Tipped To Be The Next Senate Majority Leader by edogirl2: 3:22pm On May 04, 2015 |
EUROBOMBER:How does working with the SW make them special? If you have a disagreement with your wife, you mean you'll not consider a resolution, because doing so will make her feel special? Very uncivilised approach to life. |

CyberWolf:Dora Akunyili that was busy raising prayers with the Catholic priests for Yar'Adua's recovery couldnt have been pressing for GEJ's assumption. Was she in any way out of Turai's kitchen all through? How can you so easily forget OBJ's advice to absentee YarAdua to resign after returning from his visit to the late former president in sick bed. Which ibo person was allowed anywhere near YarAdua? What about the Save Nigeria Group protests led by Tunde Bakare? What of Wole Soyinka's deployment of his international connections? What about the efforts of Femi Falana and the rest? You ibos have short memory. A short while and you'll attempt to take the credit for Buhari's victory. Maybe in a 100yrs' time, you'll claim Nigeria-Biafra civil war ended in a stalemate if not a decisive Biafra victory because of Gowon' 'No Victor, No Vanquished' statement. In essence, you are a dullard! |

EUROBOMBER:who is to blame? The SE and the SS didnt return a single ranking senator back.on the platform of Apc. There is nothing fishy in the sharing. The Apc is making do with what they have, |

omenka:Lolz... Post-May29th Nigeria would be interesting for sure By d way, leaving aside this Yerima angle which may just be either anoda media propaganda and/or political posturing by so interests, I hope you have taken full cognizance of the how una (APC) have shared all the top positions : President-- NORTHWEST; Vice president-- SOUTHWEST; Senate President-- NORTHEAST; Speaker-- SOUTHWEST; Chief Justice-- NORTHWEST (although this one is statutory). These are the 5 TOP positions in the country by the way. And particularly in the Senate which is the main institution been talked about here: Senate President-- NORTHEAST; Deputy Senate President--NORTHCENTRAL; Senate Leader-- SOUTHWEST or NORTHWEST. And those are the TOP 3 positions in the Senate by the way. Una dey try no be small |

CyberWolf:Which nonsense submissions are you talking about and to whom were they made? Stop living in denial. ibos were patient observers all through. Vincent Ogbulafor (the then PDP chairman) was totally against GEJ's ascension. How could Dora be contradicting him? Even GEJ knows Yorubas were most instrumental to his emergence as acting President. |
| Re: Yerima Tipped To Be The Next Senate Majority Leader by taharqa: 4:51pm On May 04, 2015*. Modified: 10:39pm On May 04, 2015 |
VirginFinder:Reali?? The SE and SS merely looked on in 2010/2011?? And GEJ marginalized the SW, I presume in terms of political appointments, right?? But if am not mistaken, it was Oga Tinubu, a Yoruba who led his Yoruba lawmakers from the Southwest to prevent their fellow Yoruba from becoming the Speaker of the HOR even when GEJ and PDP fought for the position to be given to the SW. It was these Yoruba guys who collaborated with some Northerners and gave the position to Tambuwal a Northerner. All for political cum financial expediency. I thought that was what happened but then again rewriting history is allowed sha. Esp after attaining one's aims (so it would seem) |

taharqa:Actually, SS & SE looked on in 2010 when GEJ was prevented by Turai from acting as President. In 2011, absence of PVC and card readers ensured the elections were flawlessly rigged in GEJ's favour in both regions. At least, you agree SW got very few appointments from GEJ. Didnt the SE & SS reps also vote for Tambuwal as speaker? |

edogirl2:my dear cease these words your foistering here, it makes no sense.I have said this before and am saying it again Sw is not the only region that host other tribes. Take a journey down to Uyo they are immensely there heading top positions in the oil company, construction company, radio stations e.t.c likewise in Enugu where I have seen a good number of them as OAPs. Please quit making it sound as if your region alone is the harbour island we have in Nigeria. |
| Re: Yerima Tipped To Be The Next Senate Majority Leader by lyntiffany(f): 5:19pm On May 04, 2015 |

Comments so far is a testament to the fact that our patriotism are to our regions and not the nation Nigeria. Only true federalism can attempt to save Nigeria. Our divisions are obvious and we are not scared to be vocal about it. Sooner or later.... For which I guess sooner, we will have no option than to embrace this federalism we have neglected for too long but probably amidst choas. |

As a Northerner, I would have say this is unfair, but after my research. I have no reason to go against this zoning agreement. The SS and SE clearly should be blame their politicians and their citizens for this. They don't have any Senator in APC. I guess giving SS the position of Deputy Speaker is fair, since they have two APC rep. This is how the incoming Country's leadership with look like; President ----- North West Vice President ----- South West Senate President---- North Central Speaker ------ South West Deputy Senate President ---- North East Deputy Speaker ---- South South Chief Justice ------ North East The biggest losers in this arrangement is the South East. Clearly the are the enemy of themselves. They have already in a sinking ship. But putting their hope in PDP. North West will forever remain the most powerful political zone in this country. Even in this clueless administration. North West occupy the position of Vice President and Speaker HOR. Well, Nigeria is country dominated by North westerns. Nobody can alter this simple fact. |
