To Move Forward, Every Nigerian Should Obey Laws And Order – Fashola by mightycrown1(op): 6:30pm On May 04, 2015
Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Monday said Nigerians could only ensure the success of the incoming administration by being law abiding.

Fashola Fashola said this at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Session of the 32nd Synod of the Diocese of Lagos, Anglican Communion, held at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. He said a country could only achieve meaningful development if its citizens were law abiding by following its rule of law.

“To move Nigeria forward, let every Nigerian obey the laws and order, you cannot obey law and order when it suits you but disobey them when it doesn’t suit you. “At this moment of great expectations, all of us have a very important role to play, and our roles will be bigger than those that were elected into office.

“Our nation will be as good as we wish it to be, we decide the kind of society we want to live in, we make those decisions by the actions that we take and the actions that we refuse to take. “I see abiding by law and order as the most important issue that we have not really focus on in Nigeria,’’ he said. Most Rev. Adebola Ademowo, the President of the Synod, in his welcome address, urged the Lagos State governor- elect, Mr Akinwummi Ambode, to have the interest of the masses at heart.

“The newly elected governor of Lagos State should have the interest of the citizens by improving on the standard of living of the masses,’’ he said. (NAN)

True said.

But in a society that is bedevilled with corruption and social injustice like we have in Nigeria, there are instances where people break the law just to survive.

the followers wont have the gut to derail if the leaders stay on course. How do you expect a common man to obey the rule of law when somebody in abuja is making millions breaking the rules. Workers salary wnt be paid and you expect a hungry civil servant to even know what the rule says.

Tell Fashola to stop the multiple taxes been imposed on Igbo brothers in Lagos. Did he ever want them to survive? Let him carter for all, and then fear for nothing.

Not at all in this democratic Nigeria.

I still keep saying, Buhari will be shock that the same Nigeria he ruled 30years ago with iron hands cannot even be moved with electric naked wire.

That's a duty as enshrined in the Nigerian constitution of all responsible citizens so only deviant citizens will do otherwise.

So the Igbos now stay in a secluded part of Lagos where Fashola can impose multiple taxes on them

Some people are more comfortable with beautifying old problems than to embrace new solutions.
Your case is not peculiar...and your type constitute a tiny minority that is best ignored.

These claims of yours are unfounded. Taxation is one of the ways the Lagos state government generates revenue so how will Fashola take a decision that will impede the progress of his state?
Even watched him commissioning a new shopping mall 'OYINGBO' mall for the Igbos.
