MaraCruiz:
For an oily face you must prime your face before foundation application. You can use mattifying primer to help close pores. Dnt rub it. Rather pat / dab it in.

Then for foundation, try Classic oil mattifying foundation. It's a drugstore product and it is quite affordable.

For foundation brush, use beauty blenders. It blends foundation well. Makes it look smooth and natural.

Thanks a lot dear. Please how much does the Classic foundation go for?

Classic foundation has 2 types. Normal foundation and their oil mattifying foundation.

The oil mattifying foundation is the one I recommend for oily face.

The price is between 1000-1500 depends on where you buy from.

If you live around Surulere, we sell at our studio.

Then for powder, go for a good loose powder.

Compact powder works more for dry skins.

Classic loose powder is okay.

@ waistbead. You will soon win best student award, lol. Diligent in your assignments.

You have improved. Your brows are much better. At least I can see the arch.

But it's not really well positioned. Should shift a lil bit down so it doesn't look hanging.. Just a bit.

Then your concealer is well blended. I like it.

Practice is key. Don't relent. Expecting a finer brow.

You can use your fingers to dab in the face primer.

I have never used translucent foundation.

Yes the classic foundation has different shades.

what's the best classic foundation shade for sb with a colour 607 Mary Kay tone
Re: Learn Make Up Artistry For Free Here by MaraCruiz(f): 6:41am On May 09, 2015
They have almost same shade code with Marykay but theirs is slightly darker.

So for Marykay 607, you will probably go for Classic 607 or 600.

Their oil mattifying foundation is numbered 1-5.

But I can really say your shade number. It's good to test before you buy so you don't buy the wrong shade.

Not at all. Please let me not confuse you.

The one with 600, 607, etc shades is their normal foundation.

The one with 1-5 number shades is their oil mattifying foundation which I recommend for oily skin.

Marykay 607 user should fall between number 3 or 4. But I advise you test it before buying.

@ May, Your brow is lovely but the highlighting is not well defined. Not well blended(the left brow)

The only highlight that should show is at the brow bone(the tail end/below)

Then your right brow arch is higher than the left.

Please what part is difficult for you to get when drawing someone else's brows? The outlining or highlighting?

tanx dear.....noted......the outlining is always difficult for me to get

Okay. After shaping the brows. Shape by cutting only the extra hair. Brush down, cut off. Brush hair up, cut off.

Once it's trimmed and in place. You are good to go! Don't shave off the hairs.

Then start outlining from the bottom.

Tip: always follow the natural hair then gradually curve.

Then outline the up to meet the arc. No much gap between the 2 from the arch down. Then fill in.

Practice will make you perfect. Try with as much ladies as possible. Gradually you will master it!

Foundation application:

Foundation forms the base of your make up. Apply your face primer before applying foundation.
To get that flawless looking make up, you have to choose a foundation that totally matches your skin tone.

Test 3 shades of foundation that is likely to be your skin colour. Choose the one that is your skin tone even before blending.

For foundation application, there is basically 3 method you can choose form:
with your fingers, with a sponge, or with a brush.
If you are applying on yourself, you can use your fingers but when working on someone, I prefer using a sponge(beauty blender). It gives it this airbrush effect and natural look. Makes it easy to blend for me.

When using a sponge, wet it a little then apply the foundation. It should be well blended. No noticeable lines should be seen where your foundation starts/or ends. It should blend smoothly into your neck and hairline.

Set your foundation with powder.

It's lovely dear. I like it. Matches your hair colour. It looks natural.

Did you highlight?

Little trace of highlight looks lovely when it shows below the brow. And you can set it with a little yellow, silver or bright shadow.

Practice more to make your arch sharper.
