You are actually very correct! The quality of thinking here often amazes me, and makes me ashamed of being Nigerian. I'm often encouraged by the bursts of intellectual writings that challenge the status quo and my mind! Most are better at quoting tribal platitudes and abuse. I would gladly apply to such a niche; discuss can be deepened, and who knows, solutions to national problems may be birthed? Kudos for the thought! Keneking: |

,more than 2300 views, jst 65 comments! it shows the article is an epic rubbish! can nigerians really talk abt d economy without oil? oil has been a blessng n more curse to nigeria n i think it will continue to be so unless we do what is right by practising a more viable fiscal federalism and not this rubbish the military taught us. i dont understand why a govr could have d guts to say he cant pay salary of common teachers but all his govt house staffs n commisioners to the commonest as personal advisers are being paid, isnt that joke of the century, yet some foolish Yoruba bigot whose region has single handedly ruin the dreams of our heroes past. a Yoruba man ruin NIGERIAN AIRWAYS, A Yoruba MAN RUIN NIGERIA PORTS AUTHORITY, A Yoruba MAN RUIN NITEL To mention but a few. no amount of mudslingng nhate speech will reduce the profile n levels the prof NOI n the first black female president of OPEC mrs diezani madueke! |

This is a nice art work and I give it to u. But I think there should not be pressure on buhari cos he can't do magic over like he already said-he is not miracle worker. A lot of things have gone wrong in this nation. Nigerian is far bittered than bitter leave even though she has the best of rain for us to get the best sugar cane. Our leaders from day one do not have conscience. I rest my case...... |

There is a clear diff between some one who can string words together and one who makes. Sense in his write up. The article is just a string of sentences for the clueless. Why is it that nigerians can neva accept responsibility for their situation. How has madam ngozi contributed to the plight of the guvenors. The article say lethal IMF ideologies. When the APC has been romancing with the same organization. The truth is that the oil can no longer sustain nigeria. Instead of people to come out and start preaching economic diversification ppl are pointing accusing fingers. 5 Likes |

Good as forsaid.... Nigeria has choosen to linger without enacting certain conditions economically be it equality as termed a developing entity......... its has always been win-loose situation. A story line based on suspense & characters protraying impunity with an adventure filled with jeopardy one of †ђξ ways 2 go forward is 2 use the reversal method (whatever goes up must come down) |

chookudi: As finance minister, I rate Okonjo low but considering the level of corruption stemming from the Presidency itself, any finance minister either maintains the status quo or gets fired (or resigns). But it's not rocket science that the greatest problem Nigeria has is the government itself. The Nigerian government is just too expensive to run, and until we fix this, the country will keep moving in circles. |

Rubbish post. Parochial and very shallow. Unintelligent and lacking in substance. A good story teller, nonetheless. Lol. NOI hasn't been our economic minister since oil was discovered. She was/is only a minister. The president(s) hold(s) all the aces. We needed to be told how she mismanaged her post through bad policies. It isn't her duty to develop Nigeria, infrastructure-wise. If she wasn't performing and was not sacked, then her bosses take the blame. Simple. The past heads of state, governors, legislatures etc, all contributed to our underdevelopment. It is mischievous and shameful to put all the blame on Iweala. I enjoyed the way the writer laced up his narrative in an everyday style. Achebe-like, lol. That's about it. As for the rest of the commenters here, who think that the writer hit the nail on the head, it is either you too are being mischievous or lack basic reasoning capacity. It is dumb to blame NOI for our lack of development, while citing Dubai, Saudi, etc. While NOI may not have performed up to your "expectations", I will suggest that we all look beyond NOI and GEJ and put pressure on our legislatures and executives at all levels, to cut down their recurrent expenditure and invest more in infrastructures. Buhari and apc came on board to "change" things. We don't need anyone to use the past as excuse. If our past was good, we won't need "change". We won't need apc and Buhari. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Nice article but highly simplistic to make Madam Ngozi responsible for our plight. Our recurrent expenditure is crazy & unaffordable. At least 14 new states in Nigeria should never have been created. It only created more bureaucracy and cost/siphone avenue. Nigeria cannot afford more than 150 legislators. Only a unicameral parliament. A presidential fleet is unnecesary let alone some state governors using jets. 2 Likes |

dvee2: Admitted, I blame GEJ for allowing the pressure from the governors to share the revenue from excess account get to him. But I remembered that issue was in the front bunner and the debate on whether to share was practically thrown opened to Nigerians. At the end the blackmailing governors had their way with a second- term conscious president. My point is GEJ tenure should have been period of consolidation and not reset,If the leaders before him had done their bits. 1 Like |

Revelations 12:14 14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. The Lord will not allow His woman to suffer. The appointed time for her to feed through favour from the face of the serpent is ended. Jesus Christ is here. |
