No Corruption In The Northern Nigeria by uprightman(op):
Lets think of it from 1999 till date there is no northern politician convicted for corruption. We usually hear a lot of corruption cases from the south.this have made north to be outstanding from the south.you can remember alams, ibori and others pending in court. Don't you think that if only the northern Nigeria is Nigeria, Nigeria would have been like dubai. Nigeria will be competing with europe on economy. Dollar would have be 2 to #1.what do you think?

Living on past glory! That was how the North and many parts of Nigeria was! Right now, the North is a cesspool of corruption! More so, even then, the poverty and feudal system didn't encourage people to question sources of wealth! IBB, Abacha etc were praised instead of vilified! Northerners tend to protect their own unlike Southerners! Fact!!!

1. What is your definition of corruption?

2. Have you lived in the north before?

3. Apart from being past leaders and military men, what else can you say of IBB, Atiku, Abacha, Nyarko?

4. Why haven't the northern states developed very well since their leaders don't embezzle funds?

5. Have you ever heard any news about Gov Lamido's son? What was the news?

When you answer above questions, I'm sure you will change your topic.

@Op this is evidence why nigeria should be split into two countries, one for the northern Muslims and another for the christian south. So that the north will not be tainted with corruption which is only endemic in the south.
Re: No Corruption In The Northern Nigeria by ZKOSOSO(m): 2:48am On May 10, 2015
I can't stop laughing!!
North is corruption defined!!
A typical hausafulani sees govt fund as nobody's fund! They are thieves from emirs to the politicians. The diff is that nearly all security outfit and efcc have always been in their hands to manipulate the process to cover up and protect their fellow northerners!

Summary: since the North contribute nothing to the federation account, every state is a parasite on the south and therefore no one should play "holier than thou" before the southerners that are less politically powerful!
It's more patriotism if a southerner is caught! But catching a northerner as a corrupt person is persecution to them!
The North is the reason why we are in this mess!!

I remember my service year in Toro Local Government Council in Bauchi State (sorry I won't disclose year). The council was usually active once allocation was received. What happened was that the money was usually brought to the LGA chairman's office and shared - raw cash. Each unit head or departmental head as the case may be would come forward to carry his share to his team, etc. Thereafter, the LGA becomes a ghost establishment with only Corpers and a few employees. My friend who was also serving in Ganjua LGA, said the same scenario was playing out over there. It was so disheartening that I had to redeploy to Bauchi Town to join one of the Banks to complete my service.

Really, there is "no corruption" in the North. What they have over there is "sharing or looting of allocation". On the other hand down South, we want people to be accountable. Accountability means that every eye is on you, so if you steal the money, others will shout. You are most likely to face the authorities. In the North, it is "RANKADEDE". grin grin grin

It is the same thing all over the north. I mean ghost looking LGA headquarters that only come to life towards the end of every month.. , brimming with folks stradling around, waiting for the loot to share . It is really difficult to define the term "corruption" in the north. The line between legal official expenditure and personald deductions from the government purse is blured. Starting from the emirs, religeous leaders, to politicians and government leaders, the much celeberated idea that "power comes from God" also entails a culturally driven tarcit approval for the incumbent to enjoy all the trappings of power including corrupt enrichment.

Then why are you still in Nigeria? What about separating from Nigeria and going your way? Atiku abubakar is from the north and the halliburton scandal is still fresh on our minds. Op, you must have stuffed your brain in your a.s.s.

Mr so-called uprightman, I hope you read this? If you do, then you should be sensible enough to apologize to the south for being a fooool and an eeediot.
