I was traveling home on a Friday during my undergraduate studies to get away from the pressures of classes and the academic environment. I saw Segun (Rogers) on my way and as usual teased him with my numerous jokes.

I never knew that was the last time we will ever talk. Came back on Sunday and saw his obituary pasted in halls of residence. I couldn't recover from the shock for many months after.

He was the chairman of University Joint Christian Mission (UJCM) and was attending a program along with about three other persons in nearby town. A careless luxurious bus who took a "one-way" crushed their bus and didn't wait to help them. He and all others died a slow and painful death.

May your soul rest in peace..... It was on September 30.

I got the first Mother's Day bouquet of my life today. A bit early though but it put me mentally in a different position.

I'm thinking whether I like it or not, "life has become serious"
