He should have come down sympathise with the survival victims and interact with them,let them know he had called the FRSC even if its all for show(pretense) before moving on.In a sane country he would have been feeling the heat by now......................for Gods sake,this where the people who voted for him..

Na him be NEMA abi he look like General hospital for una eye? in a saner environment, there are agencies that handles issues of accident victims, not an individual per say , all a has to do is call the emergency line, however we are quick to judge rather than criticise the fact that federal or state did not provide for such facilities we are bent on character assassination and sabotaging a good man's image.. most people here would do the same and maybe worse...

No he isn't....and yes I agree with those who say that he really need not have stopped to carry the injured to hospital. His cars are not equipped for that purpose. (People die from accidents in Nigeria partly because of they way they are transported. A neck injury patient needs an ambulance with a special stretcher equipped to stabilize the neck).

But...he does deserve some critique....for being part of a government that has not spent anything on effective emergency care for the people of Ogun State. Does Ogun State have an emergency ambulance service? How many hospitals in Ogun state can take care of mass casualties?

Lazy governors make badly governed states. Ogun should have been an innovative, oil free economy so that they can have the kudi to spend on the good things of life. But no.....

Then the lack of funding for healthcare services in the state should be the argument. Not "he did not stop at an accident spot to help".

In this instance; the least he could have done was to have atleast alight from the car, assist in administering first aid to victims with minor injuries, while making provision for those with emergency cases to be swiftly moved to the nearest hospital, using his official cars!

There could have been a higher probability that one of the victims who had lost their lives out there, had voted for him.

He acted in manner not befitting for a public official his status, that's completely insensitive, cruel, and lacking empathy.

if you continue like this am wondering you are going to make a good manager @ home or office when you are in a horry to judge people without even hearing their own part of stories $ u have automatically apointed blame. May God have marcy on you.

Since, it was reported that the men of Ogun state traffic authorities got to scene within a short time, i GUESSED he informed the appropriate authorities immediately, if not he wouldnt have stopped at all, maybe he could have gone further to foot their bills also, but unfortunately Nigerians love "NOTICE ME" politicians who feign sympathies even though they do nothing signiicant to help the victim more than Eh, ha, ho noise. As a politician in Nigeria , it is not just doing something, you must accompany it with propaganda showing you doing it, or else the people will cut off your neck.

Sometimes it's better to drive past than do what some so-called helpers and sympathizers do to the victims; carrying them like a bag of garbage, thereby worsening the victims' conditions!
Just look at the way the men in the picture are carrying that woman without any support for her head. smh!

Emotions apart, many sympathizers add more to the injured plight while moving or attending to them. National orientation agency needs to do more in informing the populace about the role of a passer-by during emergency. If you are not a medic or paramedic, first thing you should do on encountering an accident is to call for help). What could have been done differently, the speaker should have through the assembly enacts law to provide free and wide-spread emergency services with well equipped ambulance services around the state ( I know that the state has ambulances stationed at some locations, the nearest ambulance locations to the scene of that accident are Abeokuta and Ibafo) when he got to the scene, he could have stopped and ensure that his security details maintain law and order by barricading the scene, then he could call for FRSC. If he has ambulance in his convoy the medic on it could start on-scene triage and attending to victims. RIP to the casualties, may God grant their families solace.

I couldn't agree more. But I believe it is left to we the citizens to hold these callous politicians accountable for their actions. For example, this so called speaker must never be given a breather until he publicly bows his head in shame for his callousness!

The man is not obliged to stop we should have the right authority to take care or deal with the situation. However, i believe he had police men attached to him who are supposed to stop and deal with the situation.

The problem and our problem is we don't know the right authority to blame when we have problems.

Or better still, pictures you saw did you see any uniformed personnel that looked slightly like a paramedics or road safety officers?
