Why not celebrate the feat without inciting negative comments. I read the story because it is now happening in the East and not only in the Southwest who have dominated the headlines for several years but disappointed to see some inciting comments here. It is childish and shows it is new to some people. Some have won thsee for decades without these kind of comments. I remember a girl from Southwest who is a friend and now in Canada won it during my set. So what's the big deal.

One thing I love about Anambra state Educational sector is that Government owned school still survive and thrive despites the uglyy tsunami/rot that have swallowed their counterparts in other state.

All I see in most states is decay in govt school making business ventures in the name of private school(big structures with unqualified educationist) boom. One can still comfortably send her kids to govt owned school in Anambra without regrets.

Govt pls sustain the devpt in Educational sector

I'm Rivers, but equally proud of Anambra! Ameachi wasn't strategic about education! You build beautiful schools without the plan to ensure that quality teachers are recruited! The so-called "free" schools have several charges and levies that the students have to pay! And wait, hear this...After mass recruitment of teachers in a reactive policy, he kept the teachers for over 7 months without pay! How's that for good motivation? He is a clueless and insipid governor, and we are glad to say good riddance to him!

Rivers govt invested in structure but the NYSC corpers must teach is taking its toll in d sector cos trained govt recruited teachers has abandoned their job for corpers who can not do much. Rivers state govt teachers now form supervisors that supervise corpers class note. I hope govt withdraws that policy someday so d teachers will sit up to their duties. My humble submission, i served in Rivers state

The educational sector is in shambles, and Rivers children struggle to speak intelligible English! When was it this bad? Even Odili did better in education!

Go to Calabar, even the street urchins speak good English!! It's very sad, and as a Rivers man, I'm grieved!!! I hope Wike has something good for our educational sector, despite his crude demeanour!

Let's hope so. Atleast records has it that he was one time education ministers. He should bring back home all the policies he formed during his tenure.

I don't know your grievancies with Peter Obi but I know that he invested billions in the sector during his second term in office but I can't remember Ngige's investment in that sector,CAN YOU REMIND OF ONE PLEASE.
