Was in Calabar last year. Although the average Calabar person will tell you their city has gone to dust I CAN TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY COUNT HOW MANY UN TARRED ROADS ARE IN THAT CITY.

The city is pristine, clean, peaceful and most importantly civil.

Calabar is by far the best city in Nigeria.

There is a case for South south being the most beautiful region in Naija?

there has been no development in the south south. that region has been neglected by the government for a long long time. that region feeds the nation, yet there is no place in all that looks anything close to development. the roads are so bad, irrigation is sub-zero, agriculture is lame, the Niger river should have been dredged by now, so most cargoes could arrive there instead of offloading at Apapa. the airport Uduaghan built for children toy planes is one of the most pathetic airports in the world. all companies have their headquarters in the west. The stadium in akwa ibom is simply the highlight of the south south and nothing else.
marginalisation at its peak. i believe pics of crude spillages, water pollution and fire outbreaks could have appeared on here as well

Meanwhile, I believe SS people deserve more than these if only their government stay away from corruption. These cities should compete with the best in Africa but their own people will not let it be

Is there any town in Nigeria without a new road and roundabout? There are other key parameters for "most developed".

Crap. Its a shame that Nowhere in the south south is as developed and organized like Abuja, even port harcourt and calabar which by virtue of their historic antecedents are meant to be some of the developed areas in Africa are nothing but glorified rural areas. Abuja that was developed with oil money looks better than areas where the oil is sourced from. Nigeria is big joke.
