Before I start my story, I wanna ask a question "if you are building a house and you realize that the way you are building this house it would collapse upon completion, would you continue building and watch it collapse or start building from scratch again or find something to do to prevent the building from collapsing? I would aprreciate everyone commenting here to answer this question before posting any comments.

Born into a dysfunctional home, I have known nothing but misery and pain. I often wondered as a human, why am I so bitter towards people not knowing it was because I was born and bred in a toxic home. I am not a saint, I do not have the best attitude and am not gonna justify that I am pure here. Why Should I when the formative years of a child are the most important and its is almost impossible to break away from what you learnt both subconsciously and consciously as a child when you become an adult.

First of all, I always thought my mother (mid 50s) was the holiest woman in the world, not knowing she always played the victim. She has practically ruined the lives of her three children because of her greed and selfishness. She put me into all this mess. Need i mention that I have never been thought how to cook or any form of sexual of physical education have I learnt from her. All she knows how to do is beg unemployed youths like myself and my sister for money and gossip about people around and won't move on from my so called father.
Now to buttress my above statement, what shall it profit a woman to be with a man who has had more dan 5 wives(claims Christianity) and bear him three children without planning for them and now expects to eat from the fruit she never labored for. I always thought my mum was legally married to my dad, she did not even do Introduction. I asked why she shoved my question.
While she was in his house, he brought another woman into the house and she also bore him 3kids and another woman who bore him another kid, a girl and the list goes on.

Now to the man I have called father for years but no longer holds that title. There has been no child that has lived under him that has ever been successful, no single child. I am a tenant in my own house...well not practically my house but his house. Should I list all the atrocities I know that he has committed. I would list some to show you how much of a demon he is.
-he was a lecturer in Unilag, slept with girls and had their bfs expelled cos he wanted them all to himself.
-when his friends wife died, he impregnated her and she bore him a son
-he impregnated more dan 7 of his girlfriends friends and sisters
-he impregnated his wifes(stepmothers) sister but she aborted it
-he impregnanted all our house girls
-he sleeps with our cousins and family members
-he brings our juniors from both secondary school and university and impregnantes them.
Dis is little of what he has done and if you think I am exaggerating, your God is my witness

I and my sister moved out of this mans house at the age of 7, with my mum and brother who was a teenager at the time but my sister and I had to come back because we were kicked out of my grandmothers house at 12 midnight because of how lazy my mother is. Before we moved back tho, when we go visiting on weekends to collect 300 naira as pocket money for the week, he would make us clean and sweep his house and my step brothers and sister room, wash their plate, etc before we even leave. All this were from the age of 9 to 14 when we moved back amongst all other bitter things I won't mention. Now we have graduated and unemployed, he refused to pay our Msc fees or even give us anymoney for feeding. We have been feeding ourselves for the last two years and decided enough is enough so we told our mum we are moving to her place as he has chased us out so many times...even today to.

Currently there is a girl in the house from lead city university who is pregnant for him. This same girl he chased us out for cos he expects a girl like me who is in her twenties to be friends with a ho who wants to become a wife. I laugh at her cos he has more dan 40 children and hers won't be the last.

To cut my story short, I can't list every single thing but I would just say, I have known nothing but bitterness in my life and have prayed for over 20 years and God hasn't answered my prayers and I don't think he plans on anytime soon. How can I give love when I havenever been shown love. I have no female friends because he would sleep with them all. My male friends are dwindling because my father has banned i and my sister from going out because he claims we. Go to see out bfs. I cannot even throw dustbin outside he would threaten to lock me out. I am a slave in my own house and my mum is very lazy.she a love-vendor but she ain't no kris Jenner. She duped us of so many things. She spent our school fees, takes all our allowances uses it to buy clothes and jewelries for herself. She believes she owns everything fom us that we are a source of income for her. She even says we should prostitute ourselves and live on the streets that we shouldn't move to the house she stays(she didnot pay for it and everything there is i and my sisters money). Lemme just stop here and say my story is the one of a TOXIC DAD AND LESS OPTIMUM MOTHER.

Now back to God. How can I love God when I don't know what love is, never experienced it. How could he leave me i. This suffering for so long I am going mad, my sister has started talking to her self. There is no family or uncle or aunts, no one, I am alone in this world. Never had a good relationship. I have prayed for so long and nothing has happened. I have been abused mentally and emotionally and carry this scars around. How would I be less bitter with a constant reminder of how stupid my mother is for having me without planning. I have carried this burden for toolong. Where is God where are u. If you truly exist, strike me down and save me soul. I am done.

Sorry I didn't read your story but I can tell you picture God this way because of situations and what you've been taught but let me tell you this, even after all you've typed God loves you unconditionally and relentlessly as if you're the only one he created and nothing on earth can separate you from his love, his just waiting for you to come into his loving hands, there alone will you find peace and rest.

What a sad story.....since you don't acknowledge a god anymore why not work to be successful on your own....

Firstly, I am no party to self pity...I don't roll on that team. I have single handedly catered for my mum, brother and sister in the past...if my story sounds like I am in tears to you, you are wrong...I cannot list my achievements and sorrows together in one post. Hello op, your outburst is understandable but not justifiable. Indeed, your take off point is similar to that of people who we call great, successful etc today. I am acquainted with one who went thru similar condition, lost 2 siblings, chased from home and house was sold by dad, now squats in community where he was once landlord's kid etc but such an one can still testify of the fact that God is good and is a very present help in time of trouble as a prayer answering God.. True your parents have taken courses in life that are negative, you can turn the tide for yourself and family. . If you dont mind can I ask. 1. What was your relationship with God at the time you were praying? 2. What promises were you holding to? 3. Did you make the hard choice of forgiving your parents while praying or felt justified holding a grudge against them? I ask these because the bible clearly states that asking should be done in faith [that comes by the Word], without holding to sin[Psalm 66:18], and with forgiveness.[ mark 11:25,26] The latter one may appear very painful but it is a decision you must make ignoring the emotional protest within. Forgiving not because they deserve it but because you have to. Yours is not a difficult case. I've known cases of families caught in a labyrinth of spiritual confusion and the lives of the victims wastes/pines away either by sickness or mysterious deaths. John the baptist was imprisoned and he gave way to despair and depression making a statement similar to yours. He died in prison. Paul and Silas were handsomely rewarded for their evangelistic effort with scourging and imprisonment, they prayed and praised and were delivered. Peter was also imprisoned and could do neither of the preceding two so he kept mute and slept [in faith since Jesus had told him he'll live to old age b4 now John 21:18]. He was delivered. The choice is yours the ante-penultimate shows that depression and discouragement changes nothing but confirms your captivity. It's wrong to blame God for the consequences of man's decisions or actions. Many have faced worse cases but are today living testimonies of the goodness of a God that answers prayer..
