Got my admission notification this morning, joint msc university of bonn and united nations university bonn,
My story I applied to 4 different universities last year and got rejected in all include this one that offered my admission, went back to the drawing table did IELTS, repackaged my motivation letter(thanks to eke40seven for the input)and I got admitted, still awaiting response from 3 other schools but am satisfied with this one cos tis a UN coordinated degree. Thank to God and to all who made it possible on this tread.
Pls any one in bonn or going to bonn let's relate o.#teamwinter

Eke40seven:

Jena is in Thuringia, in Former East Germany, arguably a batter school and a historic one as that, Ulm is in the top ten richest cities (per capita) in Germany located in Baden Württemberg.
So a choice is to be made between a far better Economy (Ulm) or a more prestigious school (Jena). The ball is in your court!
Pls pardon my ignorance.Getting job in ulm is easier and better than jena because ulm has predominantly English speaker compare to that of jena. I read ulm has a lot of Nigerians. I hope I am right with my findings? Thanks once again and am hoping you help me with a better insight.

Eke40seven I am considering Msc international Finance in Berlin school of economics and law and business informatics in Mannheim university, how is that? They don't seem to impose the 2,5 or better Gpa requirement.

I think my last post was very plain and clear and I'm not sure what else you want me to contribute. Southern Germany generally TEND to have more English speakers than the other regions

You could just mail the programme coordinator and ask if there's a minimum CGPA required, and what it is - if there is...

I was trying to confirm some things. The Berlin school of Economics and law did not state any GP so you can apply but note that they use "Numerus clausus" (my spelling might be wrong) meaning that they can peg the GP below above 2.5 or less depending on the number of applicants since it is restricted and same goes for Manheim, where a total of 60 points are awarded (50 alone goes for your average grade) and the first people that scores the highest will be picked. So this is a tricky one.

The fact that you are eligible to apply doesn't correspond to automatic selection and note too, the two course involved serious mathematics.. Look up those ones I sent you earlier, your chances are higher there.....trust me

I hope you find it useful
Good luck!

Thanks eke40seven and Williamso , I rea don't want to study economics, as a masters course. Yes I am not terrible in mathematics given the right learning environment.
I also saw one other school, application starts in July, where as long as u have a minimum of 3.0 , you are legible for admission given that you pass their selection interview over the phone or Skype, can't remember the name of that one.
I had already sent the application, how do o get UNIASSIST to ignore the other 2 courses so that my payment only applies to the applications ul send now?

Deyooluv....there is nothing to pardon about your post....you asked a question which is crutial in ur decision making ......I school in Brandenburg but have a friend studying in Jena.....he lamented to me some months back about how few nigerians are in the city and how hard getting a job is at Jena.....if Ulm can guarantee good employment opportunities.....I will advice you research more about the city and go for a better economic option. A Germany education is standardized.....A German degree is a German degree whether you acquire it from TU Berlin or Ulm...that's my point of view though.....I wish you guys all the best!

Hello house, please has anyone here in the past or present being able to get admission into a school that requires pre study internship or trainee contract? How were you able to scale through this? This is mostly for Bsc. applicants.
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by mokaz: 9:59am On May 13, 2015
You can do it either way.....but it is better you print out so many blank copies should there be error and you need to refill....go for your interview with extra unfilled copies also.....I filled mine with hand back then.....best of luck!

Do you mean proof of internship as part of the admission requirements.... Or it will be part of the program fulfillment here at the school? I don't really understand that part and I will suggest if its bachelor..... There are several other options you can explore that won't give you though requirements.....maybe you might search wider asap......best of luck!

Mail Uni-assist immediately through their contact option on the uni assist portal.

Pre study internship is done after admission but submitted upon enrollment. One of the schools (Uni Ingolstadt) they require it 4 weeks before the start of studies and they specifically stated that its to be done in a specified area of specialization. I also emailed the school they said even though i have an HND in the course i will still need to do it. And its to be done in Germany or home country...this whole internship requirement ish is a serious headache to me. Seen some good and interesting courses but this same pre study internship / trainee contract with a company is acting like a stumbling block to applying.
Please did any one scale through this hurdle?

Mail UniAssist asap and tell them what you want them to do...

To add to what is Eke said, I'd advise you check more on Universities of Applied Science instead of plain Universities as they tend to have more relaxed requirements, and you're more likely to see programmes without NC...

To add to what mokaz and Williamso said, I'll advise you also to delete those applications from the uni-assist online portal for as long as uni-assist has not yet started processing your application, you may edit it by deleting the application and creating a new one.
