Brand new estate is already in the works not too far from Ngozika estates. I don't know the name yet!

Infrastructures are already being provided while developers are scrambling for land in the neighborhood!

It is a massive gated and secured neighborhood fenced right round with South African bricks..
Oboy the speed of development in Anambra is shocking

What you are seeing here will be a kid's play when I bring updates from the Greenwood City. I have said it here that the only place that can be compared to Greenwood is Banana Island and maybe Maitama and Asokoro!

I hate the road sides; where is the pedestrian way and why isn't the street marked with road signs ? And why are the fences not built uniformly ? I hate tall fences. We have a long way to go.

Nwanne I understand your point, please make sure you bring the latest designs from Dallas because I will like you to have a place at Greenwood City. It is in the works right now..

What is so difficult with covering those gutters and fixing the road sides ? I doesn't make sense to have a residential estate without pedestrian way where people can take a walk or excercize in the morning.

Yes you are right but its mostly non traffic estates. It is very quiet as it appears..so you can actually do your exercise without fear that you might be knocked down!

This house located at Ngozika phase two belongs to Phyno Fyno.

The good stuff about it all is that government is providing infrastructures to encourage developers.

If your pocket is deep then plan for Greenwood city. That hood will host the cream dela cream of the Igbo race. Psquare brothers, I was told are already speculating for a choice piece of land at the Greenwood for their mansion. I heard also they want to invest in the hospitality industry.

[size=14pt]I pray many, many Igbo business men focus on commercial farming and allied agro-based factories . Including poultry, fish and animal husbandry than importation and petty trading.

The niche in the agro business isn't just to farm and produce raw corn or chicken to sell in the local market. It is more importantly about setting up agro-industries to PACKAGE the foods and go up the value chain to create wealth. Therefore, corn farms will also set up a small corn flakes making factory or process their corn into corn powder and bagged for local markets or export. While the poultry farms not only produce crates of eggs, which is refrigerated to make them last longer to be supplied to sores and markets around Nigeria. But also produce frozen chicken which is sealed in portable bags of chicken parts, and can be sold in meat markets or super markets.

In this way, these 'farms" will gainfully employ people not just as laborers to plant and harvest on the farm, but also semi and skilled workers in their agro-industries which the farms support.A good example is the commercial farms run by white farmers in Kwara which massively produce cassava and has agro-factories which converts these to starch for pharmaceutical use and export. Or their dairy farms which have special milk producing cows in which the milk produced in converted to yogurt in the same farm and then the yogurt is packaged in small cups, frozen and sent to supermarkets around Nigeria. Without planning how to build these agro-based factories to process your produce and add value to the farm products, farming will be an unattractive, labor intensive, unprofitable venture to many business men.

Jonathan, Buhari, Obiano, Others Mourn Zik’s First Son, Chukwuma Azikiwe

President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday commiserated with the family of Nigeria’s first president, the late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, over the death of his son, Dr Chukwuma Azikiwe.

A statement by presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati, noted that Jonathan extended his sincere condolences to the government and people of Anambra State, as well as the immediate family of the deceased.

Abati said: “President Jonathan believes that the late Azikiwe, who was also the Owelle of Onitsha, lived a fulfilled life by sustaining the humanitarian and leadership legacies of his father as a mobiliser, leader, philanthropist and a highly respected voice in his community.

“The president prays that the Almighty God will grant the soul of the departed peaceful rest, and comfort the family he left behind”.

Also, the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, has described the death of Ambassador Chukwuma Bamidele Azikiwe as a sad development and an exit of a great Nigerian who was brought up in the best tradition of national unity and genuine African values.

General Buhari, in a condolence message made available to the media in Abuja yesterday, said that “with the demise of Chukwuma Azikiwe, a gentleman has left a turbulent world. Ambassador Azikiwe was a thoroughbred Nigerian citizen who chose a private life after a distinguished diplomatic career in Nigeria’s Foreign Service.

“There is no doubt that it was Ambassador Azikiwe’s humane and refined qualities that made it possible for him to step into the big traditional shoes of his great father, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe as the Owelle of Onitsha.”

The president-elect said with the demise of the Owelle, he had lost a friend who cared for him and often found time to visit him at home in Kaduna.

While condoling with the Azikiwe family, General Buhari urged the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nna’meka Ugochukwu Achebe and the entire people of Onitsha Royal Kingdom to take heart and bear the loss with fortitude.

Meanwhile, Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano, has condoled with the family of the late first president of Nigeria, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, over the demise of the first son of the elder statesman, Chief Chukwuma Bamidele Azikiwe.

Also, several sympathisers, including a former commissioner for works in Anambra State, Chief (Mrs) Chika Ibeneme, special adviser to the Rivers State governor on statistics and strategic planning, Mr. Okey Okirie, were at the late sage’s Inosi-Onira, Onitsha country home to commiserate with the bereaved family.

The younger Azikiwe who took over his father’s traditional title of Owelle of the ancient Onitsha kingdom passed on last Sunday after a brief illness at the nearby Boromeo Hospital at the age of 75. He left behind his wife and two child.

Though this reporter could ascertain the name of his wife as at the time of filing this report yesterday, names of his children as given by the source are,Ikechukwu and Chinwe.

Gov. Obiano in a condolence message stated that he was shocked when he got the news of the demise of Chief Chukwuma Azikiwe, a 1964 Harvard Business graduate whom he described as a political leader in his own right. He also Condoled the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe and the entire Onitsha traditional cabinet over the demise of the Owelle.

Finotel is off Nnamdi Azikiwe Avenue at Agu-Awka while Trig-Point is at Nise road.

Land at Udoka and Ngozika estates are damn expensive. You can make inquiries at the ASPDA. Greenwood is another level, Infact like as I said before if one does not have a deep pocket he/she should forget about Greenwood.
