Burundi’s "troubled" president Pierre Nkurunziza (right) pictured with his friends back in their youthful days rocking a shirt of the famous gangster rapper with inscription; "Me Against The World". Guess he never knew that such time will come in his life when that statement will become prophetic and it will be really him against his country even the world at large after refusing pleas from international communities to reverse his third term bid in order to stop the violence which has been rocking the country for weeks now.

President Nkurunziza's government was "overthrown" on Wednesday after a coup declaration was announced same day Mr Nkurunziza left for Tanzania for a summit, by Maj Gen Godefroid Niyombare, a former intelligence chief and ally of the president who was dismissed in February. Confusion remains as to whether the coup has been successful or not.
