calebo101:Personally, l would prefer the militants blow off everything that connects to oil in the Niger Delta, so that everyone will rest and source other means of income. Singapore no get oil but we are not living better than them! |

Nigeria cannot be blackmailed by some militants. Despite the contract, pipelines are still being vandalised at an alarming rate and crude oil theft is going unabated. Arms are still prevalent in the Niger Delta amongst both the ex-militants and political thugs. Is the amnesty to prevent them from using the arms or ensuring they are disarmed? Enough of dealing with issues at the branches, it's time to go to the root. Buhari should terminate the contract and cancel the amnesty. The funds used to pay militants blackmailing the nation should go to the poeple of Niger Delta. |

slimmy05:I agree with your view, but you misunderstood my post. The Niger Delta is comprised mostly of WATER, in the form of deep fast flowing rivers, stagnant swamps and marshes, all shrouded under the triple canopy of impenetrable rain forest, most of which CANNOT be invaded with heavy armor or even navy patrol boats. The advantage will go to the Niger Delta militants, who know every creek of the labyrinth intimately. If the mighty US military machine could not defeat the Viet Cong amid the creeks of the Mekong Delta back in the 1960s, it is certain that the Nigerian military will fare no better in the Niger Delta, which is FIVE TIMES larger than the Mekong Delta, when measured in square miles. The Northern Nigerian Born-to-Rule petroleum-stealing gang may have colonized the rest of Nigeria with the cooked up outcome of that last presidential "selection" , but they will FAIL in spreading that sphere of influence into the deadly waters of the Niger Delta, and they will fail in epic proportions, for sure. Born-to-Rule, prepare to live off the proceeds of your groundnut pyramids, for that free oil will cease to flow very quickly, if you try and take it by force. |

Let the changer be changed if truly He want to change our country. If buhari must sweep away the office of they ex-militants just because they did not campaign together with Him, then He have to as well wipe away His new recruited group called (Anti-corruption team) because it is the duty of the Nigeria police Force to work against corruption. Nigeria must not have police outside our police nor Army outside our Army according to Buhari's speeches. Buhari should also look into Oil marketer- Tinubu's Resources, (He who chose to serve Nigeria has automatically become the servant of this Nigeria). (Uncle) Tinubu is one of they Nigerian's Servant so He don't have to be controlling such huge of Money that worth to buy the whole Nigerian's residence. If Buhari fail to first of all uproot the enemies/corruption within Him and wish to judge others then He is trying to invoke chaos in this country. |

calebo101:A General is always a General. By the time a combined force of US, UK and ever gallant Fulani soldiers hammer 2 weeks of non-stop bombardment, we shall know who really are ready for war with world powers. You will also know that Ikwerres, Ogonis, Urhobos, Itsekiris and others are not part of those sabotaging Nigeria. We want peace. Those who wish for war by bursting pipeline will suffer alone. |

Abagworo:Interesting speculation, considering that 80% of those creeks are simply inaccessible to warships, while 100% of the area is off limits to heavy armor. Anyway, the declaration of war has been made by your Boko Hari oil-field grabber, so let us see how it work out for him in reality. |

What I always wished fpr Jonathan to do was to build a seaport and refinery in Bayelsa and connect it to Eastwest road via a solid highway. Please Buhari should implement one at least as there is less money now for 2. That is a real development and not arming pipeline vandals and asking them to protect pipeline. |
