PDPwayoo:you maybe somehow wrong. Do you how many barrels of Oil leave bayelsa everyday ? Do you know that many of the big multinational company that pay heavy taxes are in Nigeria because of bayelsa, without oil in bayelsa, there will be no chevron in lekki and many more, it was the breakthrough in oloibiri in 1956 that brought many of them to Nigeria and they decided to settle in lagos being a cosmopolitan city. not forgetting that theses guys in bayelsa suffers from serious environmental degradation (go through ISO 14000). So if after many years of oil exploration dating back as at 1956 (constant gas flaring) if you are not heartless, you will agree with me that lots of stuffs that should be used to compensate them. Lagos is not yet an oil producing state, though it maybe, that is if after drilling, oil is found in commercial quantities in the wells, i am aware alhaji folawiyo and chevron are in charge. 3 Likes 1 Share |

royal231: I've come to realise that the opposite of the ideal is what actually happens in Nigeria. There's no single infrastructure in Lagos, yet you want to still add more burden on the system I spend not less than 6hrs in traffic everyday in Lagos. If I spend the next 10 years in Lagos, all things being equal, I would be spending 2years and 6months in traffic. 3 Likes |

anyaekekehinde: before Chevron, Lagos has been a mega city in Africa more than 100 years ago.... OK WHY CANT JONATHAN TURN BAYELSA TO LAGOS IF HE WAS GOOD FOR THE JOB? IF JEG COULDN'T DO IT FOR HIS STATE, WHO WILL DO? GEJ couldn't build one single factory in bayelsa, so who is to blame? giving amnesty and contracts to militants can never bring development....there is no job in Bayelsa and there is no infrastructure in bayelsa. IF MARIAM IBB, CAN INFLUENCE ASABA TO BE THE CAPITAL OF DELTA STATE .... WHY CANT GEJ INFLUENCE BAYELSA WITH REASONABLE FEDERAL PROJECTS THAT WILL BENEFIT HIS PEOPLE? instead they made PEJ mama piss the PS to ministry of education... the position of PS is not for politicians is for civil servants. GEJ AND PEJ DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE IN ASO ROCK. im sure ADAMA MUAZU influenced more federal projects to his people than GEJ did to Bayelsa 9 Likes |

oneeast: The project is not FG's project. FG came into the party when the preparation for the party was almost over. It's a private initiative of a silent couple Mr&Mrs Jadesimi with the buy in of investors and Lagos state Government. FG came on board when it saw the viability. Therefore, FG does not have any control over the project. The likes of Tompolo, Boyloaf, Dokubo should use all the billions they are collecting to set up such yards on their lands, instead of investing their funds in.other countries, as it's the case. 13 Likes |

royal231: None. None. None. You were asked to state facts, you ended up asking questions, which does nothing but prove you are empty about Jonathan's achievements. There is no functioning university built by Jonathan in the North, the North naturally has more farmers therefore will benefit more from any agricultural projects, and the almajiri schools were an insult which further galvanized the North to kick the drunk fisherman back to the creeks. Imagine if after Buhari's rule, he tells the SE he worked for them by establishing rehabilitation centres for the "born put for market" baby factory children of Igboland. What would be your reaction? Jonathan don show una pepper. 6 Likes |

Good! More reason why GEJ could have used his presidential power of coercion long ago to lure this investors to his state than letting it slide until now. I repeat GEJ has proved to me to be clueless but he is a good man. superstar1: 1 Like |

IzonOwei: Well, I can't fault your reasoning a bit. GEJ not only failed Nigeria but also his immediate constituency of ND. At the minimum, he should have done all you stated up here. Therefore you all must agree that he was voted against because of his general poor performance. Btw, the project is aprivately financed one and not a government project. 4 Likes |

IzonOwei: when he signed the contract, where were you people? Moreso, it's a private project and they dictates where their investment would be. No one is stopping Gej to do whatever he wants to his people instead he's busy awarding contracts to militants, so you can't blame others for his failure to the Niger Deltans. 3 Likes |

This goes to proof the saying that GEJ is clueless. What was he thinking when he approved that project to be sited in Lagos, as congested as Lagos is? When he was busy empowering militants with pipeline contracts for the moment, he never thought of long term projects for his people, now at the eleventh hour his eyes are opened. I believe it's the election defeat that had jolted him out of whatever stupor he was in all this while. 1 Like |

Nigeria failed the Niger Delta people and Jonathan failed the Niger Delta people even more. Any Niger Deltan crying today should direct that cry straight to Jonathan because he totally wasted a once in a lifetime opportunity for a ND presidency. Alll Jonathan needed to do to massively develop the Niger Delta was to ensure that very competent men of integrity were appointed as the heads of NDDC and the ND Ministry. But GEJ rather thought the best way was to appoint crooks from the ND at the top to steal money and then to pay billions to miscreants like tompolo, boyloaf, asari etc. Today Asari has built a private university in Benin Republic with ND money while Tompolo now flies around in a brand new private jet acquired with ND money too. What an interesting achievement for Jonathan. 5 Likes |
