InvertedHammer:Wouldn't like to join issues with anyone on this, but you might be quick to talk about almajiri schools but didn't know he built a university in Otuoke. What about the $16billion export processing zone in Bayelsa/Delta that has been the object of bickering amongst the Ijaws, Urhobos and Istekiris?? You see? All that "he did nothing for his people" are just mere emotional tantrums. |

IzonOwei:I hope. Direction has always been lacking in the ND struggle. Asari got his share and travelled to Cotonou to empower a foreign economy. If he was fighting for folks like you, why didn't he site it in Izon land? He and the kaduna Mafia have the same goal: personal enrichment and aggrandizement. |

Kennywills7:I feel your pain bro. There are tons of cash in the ND The problem is they don't have good leaders leaders. What has Uduaghan done with so much money? Akpabio couldn't join hands with other governors to build a seaport for that region? Are the people of Rivers happy after Amaechi's tenure? Cross river has just gone into oblivion in the world of headlines. Oshiomole nko? What are his major achievements? See man its the same in the SW too Most of these men aren't doing nothing and the people aren't making demands. The enlightened ones won't sayy a word and the uenlightened ones don't even know the government is there to server them. And trust me on this man, its the same up North. Which brings us back to the people. If we don't unify ourselves and talk sense into these people by our actions and our inactions, they won't sit up! We should be a lil bit radical, I don't mean terrorism but let us add more radicalism with the way we handle people who don't perform their duties! |

Kennywills7:If u felt insulted, apologies. One thing I want you to realise is Regionalism MUST precede Secession, except you want to go through the path of barrels and blood. ND should make their call for regionalism and resource control. You need to learn how to hide your objective in the midst of advocating for a collective beneficial cause. Diplomacy and alliance with key regions also matters. The voice of the likes of Dokubo can never make anybody take ND serious. Until highly cerebral people that can engage in logical and convincing argument take up the battle. To be candid I feel the pain of ND, but let us tell ourselves the absolute truth, your leaders are not helping the cause. They are the ones sabotaging your efforts. Name one Government you did not have a viable voice? None. |

Break up Nigeria for the following benefits: 1. Nigeria as a third-party construct was put together without due consent of the actual members of the union or taking into consideration the feelings and cultural sensitivities of any of the people concerned. 2. The union from the onset is faulty because the fundamental ingredients that make any social contract or society work were lacking. Such a thing like religious/cultural affinity is just non-existent amongst the peoples of Nigeria. 3. It is believed that all successful unions, relationships, marriages, societies, etc are those in which members can communicate among themselves in a clear language that every party to the arrangement understands. Therefore the most important element in forming a union that works becomes the commonality of language. In Nigeria that is absent. 4. For a relationship or union to work there must be common objectives, goals, or destiny that everyone in it must subscribe to or aspire toward. The Muslim North and West of Nigeria surely have different agendas and goals from those of Christian and Animist Igbo/Biafra people. 5. It is only based on when all members of the society can have a common objective will they be able to work together, trusting one another knowing that they are all headed toward the same direction even when the details of their methods and minor views differ it is still understood and rooms or provisions are made for those diversities so that no one takes up arms to kill the others. Such understanding is completely non-existent in Nigeria. No tolerance of views that are unislamic is present in Nigeria. 6. There is mutual suspicion amongst the different peoples of the Nigerian union and no one is even making attempt at tolerating the other. 7. Islamic jihadist project against Igbo/Biafra people and the other non Muslim population of the failed Nigerian experiment is so overt and boiling over and it is continuous. 8. Historically, a heinous atrocity had been visited on Igbo/Biafra people. 45 years ago the greatest genocide on the African continent was committed by Nigeria and its citizens against the other supposedly fellow citizens, the Igbo/Biafra people and, they murdered 3.1 million of that group all because of hatred and intolerance. 9. The same Igbo/Biafra people were not only denied their right to life in the genocidal act but they were also dispossessed of their material wealth and possessions. After the killings, bombing and near-annihilation of the Igbo/Biafra ethnic group and total destruction of the physical structures of Biafran people and land, Nigeria took away ownership of all the real estate properties that once belonged to Igbo/Biafrans wherever they were located in Nigeria. In the same vein Nigeria also denied Igbo/Biafra people access to their bank deposits. Instead they handed to each Igbo/Biafran depositors 20 pounds of Nigeria’s money no matter the millions or thousands that they had in the banks prior to the time. 10. Like we earlier said, this list is endless but let’s just say that there is no compatibility and there will never be a time when there will between the Yoruba, Hausa, Fulani and the Igbo/Biafra people. There is no commonality of interests as a society, let each group go their separate ways. That is wisdom and that is the only truth. |

Jonathan, your Ijaw master scammed you gullible lot with a phanthom 2nd Niger Bridge and Ibaka seaport. The Yorubas arent f00lish like you, they wouldnt fold their arms and watch a huge project such as this, which is largely owned by their son Mr Jadesinmi, or whatever is name is, taken away from their land. |

anyaekekehinde:.it is only the shell chevron or mobil workers that are working in Lagos alone that their PAYEE is remitted to Lagos. Taxes of various branches of any company are remitted to the state where such is located. A branch of Zenith Bank in Owerri remits it's PAYEE to Imo State Government and not Lagos. What is the population of the Oil workers in relation to the total population of financial industry workers in Lagos? Financial industry, Shipping industry, entertainment and aviation industry make Lagos thick and not oil. |

PDPwayoo:Agreed, my argument is not about GEJ or PEJ, its about the people of niger - delta same way it is not right for cocoa processing industry to be in kano when cocoa is being produced majorly in ondo state and other south west state. can you imagine, we have a refinery at kaduna, do you know the cost of constructing pipeline from niger delta to kaduna, it doesn't make sense. if we mention oil in nigeria today, its not because of lagos state, its because of Bayelsa, Rivers, delta i.e the lower Niger states. so anything oil related should favour bayelsa more that Lagos state. |

I think just like the south-east, the Niger Delta region has also been plagued with bad leaders who are after nothing but to enrich their personal pockets and that is where one has to envy to an extent our brothers from the south-west when it comes to their leaders and holding them accountable, the yorubas in "most" cases are ready to condemn and totally deny you once you are found guilty of any wrong doing or misappropriation of funds while in public office but we would rather scream neglect and selective justice when our own brothers are found guilty i.e those fellows who went about carrying placards that their sister be left alone even after she was found guilty as a minister and went further to elect her a senator in that same state, I'm not saying the south-west is more developed or advanced though I'm saying they to an "extent" don't take rubbish from their elected officials like we from other parts of the country do especially the Niger-delta region |

anyaekekehinde:The only state that has the financial muscle to support the Oil &Gas is Lagos because that is the Financial Centre of West Africa. By and large, Lagos will always benefit from Oil &Gas directly or indirectly. Do you know ho many deals happening in the world that is cemented in NY, London and Hong Kong, without those deals being in the countries where those financial centres are located. |

anyaekekehinde:Niger delta people can not do it themselves without good leaders.........we need leaders not thieves. if we start fighting fulani today, next week u will see northern elders and our southern politicians cutting cake and celebration. undermining the death or struggle of the masses. NOTHING IS STOPPING BAYELSA OR DELTA TO BUILD HOUSING ESTATE OR OVERHEAD BRIDGES AND BEAUTIFUL STREETS LIKE IKEJA AND ISLAND..... our leaders dont do that, they use the money to buy SUV cars and properties for themselves then after 8 years they blame fulani man that won election. BAYELSA IS VERY SMALL IN TERMS OF SIZE AND POPULATION... VERY LITTLE ROADS TO BUILD AND ONLY FEW BRIDGES BUILT. WHERE R THEY PUTTING THEIR ALLOCATION?. |

IzonOwei:Fight if you want! Who will lose? 177 M Nigerians Vs 3 M Bayelsans? But not all of the 3 M are so senseless like you and your cowardly GEJ. If you fight, your people will lose out like the greedy ibos who wanted all Nigeria for themselves alone. If you destroy pipelines and massive oil spills destroy the land, the spill will not even affect lands in the SE, not to talk of crossing the Middle belt or Niger, who will die from the short and long term effects of the poison? Whose land will have all or most fish, animals and humans sick and die? Even ordinary $ 1 B required for clean up of skills of Ogoniland and ND areas, Jonadarft did not provide for 6 years, no you are threatening to spill all Nigeria's oil on yourself by blowing up the pipelines? Funny set of losers, abeg do it! If Nigeria does have to deal with militancy again, I bet you they will not be coming into the creeks piecemeal like they did the first time and there was fighting for a long time. The government will only set up outposts in the ND for 2 - 4 weeks asking patriotic Nigerians in the ND to leave temporarily and lodge them as close as possible to the ND but outside the region and then fly hundreds of missions daily to destroy every militant in carpet bombing craze until anything that moves or doesn't move is destroyed then, use the oil to rebuild the ND! Who has lost in the process?? |

The man state (bayelsa) need to change gear and vote for another set of leaders. Their so called leaders could not change that tiny state to a paradise in 16 years with their huge allocation. |

anyaekekehinde:Have u heard about Edwin Clark and Anthony Aninih again? these r the bad guys of Niger Delta...... people like Edwin Clark, Anini, Asari Dokubo and some high cheifs have the power to hold GEJ/PDP/Federal govt. to ransom; and enforce a mighty project in Niger Delta. Instead, they were fighting for ownership of oil block and personal benefit as well as blaming illiterate fulani man to their woes. Under Jonathan no single factory was built in Delta, Rivers, Edo, Bayelsa which i know very well............. he only gave amnesty. Amnesty can not sustain the youths development but employment can make them look responsible and peaceful. |

If Egun people are to come forward tomorrow or nearest future to complain about where they come from, history is right there as a pointer to where they originally came from which Benin Republic.
