Jonathan does not have the needed roughness to be BoT Chairman at this time.

I can categorically, authoritatively say that PDP is dead. Jonathan Rebels, the clueless one to lead PDP? Mba. PDP died the day Obasanjo torn his membership card.

Anenih's speech is loaded. Something tells me he is mocking the president.

Good move.

Let him inherit his mess.

GEJ is never a leader. PDP is finally dead and buried.

since gej and PDP fail
everybody is PDP is in disarray but they forget so soon when they are sharing our treasury within themselves then no fighting
.

What about all those outmanoevered in PDP who decamped to APC like Amaechi, Kwakwanso, Saraki, El-Rufai & Co? They were brave , bah?

Only in Nigeria does a party ruling for 16 years lose an election and it's overblown as a crisis.

Are we not thereby encouraging ruling parties to sit tight even if they lose?

I don't expect much from APC (hope they prove me wrong) because the same people who spent 8, 7 or 6 years as PDP senators, governors, ministers and so on now populate APC. Even Orubebe wants to join APC. Lol.

A party shouldn't spend more than 8 to 12 years in power no matter how good they think they are. 16 years of PDP is already too much.
Let another party have a go.

.From what we read on some online news media some few days ago, the president rejected dis offer of BOT chairman. I don't think GEJ can effectively handle the position of BOT chairman. It will only take a miracle for PDP to bounce early from its defeat, because, the party has Nv played opposition at d national level before.PDP will have to pray, for APC to break up even before d end of this year for them to have any chance of coming back soon,If APC,remain united, going into elections in bayelsa and kogi and they end up winning these two states then the PDP will naturally go into extinction, because, after all election cases in d tribunals, at least APC will definitely reclaim rivers state, after a rerun election.

President Jonathan said he doesn't want to be BOT chairman. You people should leave him alone let him go and rest in "extinction". That's the kind of man he is and I am totally all for him.

The name calling he survived in the last 6years should last anyone's lifetime. It haff do

I see a new opposition party rising up soon
Re: I Resigned As PDP Bot Chair To Allow Jonathan Take Over – Tony Anenih by Reference(m): 5:45am On May 21, 2015
This is just not right. When a party loses power, responsibility should be shared across all leadership and everyone should go, Jonathan included. Obasanjo hanging around was a major impediment to the PDP after he left office. One is not suggesting that Jonathan resigns politics and leaves the party but the BoT Chair is too front and centre and his presence too distracting and perhaps divisive. It may hinder the party from attracting the quality top level membership it needs to bounce back swiftly and assuredly. If the party hopes to re-invent itself it has to make a clean break and Jonathan won't offer that with so much baggage coming from his past rule.

Lol , but any political party with Goodluck Jonathan as BOT Chairman is as good as clueless - dead.

Jonathan can surrender the party to any slightest opposition so as to go home to enjoy life; he would tell party members that he had been feeling as if in a cage. .shocked cool cool : cool cool

It's never a news, I knew that was the grand conspiracy to make him assume the BOT position. But how on earth would he be able to lead a party he singlehandedly destroyed by his greed and impunity? I thought PDP was only on a sick bed but handing over BOT to Jonathan, the final interment is announced. Sorry PDP fans and sympathisers, we will obey the Bible that says we should mourn with those that are mourning and rejoice with those rejoicing. At this time join me to mourn PDP while we rejoice with APC.
