Timothy Nkenu

Timothy Nkenu Woma, the founder of the African Poetry Project is a young and Adventurous, capable of the unthinkable, resilient and unshaken 17 year old Nigerian based in Uganda.

His love for poetry began while growing up in a house with his dad being a lecturer of Literature. The love has inspired him to start the African Poetry Project, a project that brings together poets from all over Africa.

The Project recently released its first African Poetry Compilation which features works of young poets from all over the continent.
A snippet of what to expect

“They came to us with sweet words
saying they know our plight and
will fight for us
Lies!!! All lies!

With ink stains on our thumbs
and joy in our hearts
smiles on our faces
We put them in office

Crocodile tears of gratitude
hungry eyes of theirs
they looked at us and
praised us for “doing the right thing”

Nigerians have one attribute, anywhere they go, they usually excel making the people in the host community jealous and fear us, you may wonder why South Africans claims they dont want Nigerian and they are busy killing other Africans who are not even up to half on Nigerians living in the country put together
