I really want to understand the term 'Refurbished' hp laptop and what one stands to gain or loose buying them. Somebody told me that it is as good as a new one in as much as it was refurbished by hp or manufacturer as the case may be. Please help me out.

refurbished laptops are used laptops.It could be a seller refurbished or manufacturer refurbished. When it is manufacturer refurbished it is set back to factory settings..They even polish or respray it and looks very clean but its been used before. When it is done by a seller other than a manufacturer then it is made as much ok to use as possible by the seller.
